Rihanna taps Shenseea as Savage X Fenty brand ambassador

Rihanna tapped reggae dancehall singer Shenseea as her newest Savage X Fenty brand ambassador.

Shenseea is the latest celebrity to be named as brand ambassador for Rihanna's lingerie line. She joins the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Tinashe, JoJo, Normani, and more to promote the brand

Shenseea uploaded a photo to Instagram.com, which she captioned:

"Tun yuh on cause me body hot like drought #ShenYeng is now an ambassador for @savagexfenty #SavageXAmbassador."
 

In July, Shenseea, a 23-year-old Libra, was named the newest ambassador for British clothing brand PrettyLittleThing.

Shenseea has scored numerous dancehall hits and, although she hasn't gone mainstream in the USA, her latest hit, "Lighter" with reggae star Tarrus Riley, has garnered nearly 9 million views on YouTube.

Gucci debuts jeans with grass stains for $676 USD

Gucci is taking the distressed look to another level by reimagining denim jeans with artificial grass stains around the knee area. The jeans retail for $676 USD.

According to Gucci's website, the wide leg, Eco washed organic denim is "specifically treated for a stained-like, distressed effect."

"Gucci explores new takes on the cult fabric, reinterpreting it with different designs and washing techniques that blur the line between vintage and contemporary. All organic cotton leftovers from the cutting process for this product are then upcycled into new materials under the "Gucci Up" program. Pieces with versatile ways to wear and style embrace each person who is part of the House's individual spirit."

Neneh Cherry inspired daughter Mabel’s new Kangol clothing line

Mabel's new Kangol clothing line is inspired by her mum, rapper Neneh Cherry's early '90s style.

The "Don't Call Me Up" British R&B singer teamed up with Kangol and retailer H&M for the new line - acting as a co-collaborator and the face of the new collection from the streetwear brand.

Speaking to Vogue about her decision to team up with the firm, Mabel explains she was inspired by some of the Kangol outfits worn by her mum, who scored chart success with hits including "Buffalo Stance" and "Kisses on the Wind," as a pop star in the late 1980s and early '90s.
 

"I remember my mum wearing Kangol when I was growing up and, you know, thinking in general that she was not just a great mum but also such an inspiration – such an icon to have in the house," Mabel explains. "I was very conscious that she wasn't a regular mum, she was a cool mum!"

Stylish Neneh, now 56, is seen wearing a red Kangol cap and sheepskin duster in London in 2001.

Mabel inherited some of her mum's old clothes, with Neneh passing on her outfits from her younger years to her daughter - but the 24-year-old hasn't bagged any of her mum's Kangol streetwear attire yet, as her mum still looks great in it.

"I have a couple of pieces that she wore when she was my age, which is such an honour," Mabel reveals. "She still has amazing style, but, back then, her wardrobe in like, the '90s to the early 2000s was unreal. I got this '90s Alaia bodysuit that I literally live for; it looks so perfectly tailored and still so fresh. No streetwear yet because she still wears and looks amazing in all that stuff – I'm sure that at some point I will (inherit it)."

Speaking about the inspiration behind her Kangol designs, Mabel adds: "I wanted to make something comfy but still wearable; you could dress them up or down. That’s always really important to me, being busy, and quite often having to go from day-to-night, and (always) on-the-go."

The internet is debating whether singer Monica rocked a hand-sewn imitation Fendi outfit for her Versuz battle with former nemesis Brandy Norwood.

Lipstick Alley denizens and gossipmongers spent hours picking apart Monica's outfit down to the stitching.

They zoomed in on the loose threads and what appeared to be part of a zipper sticking out of her top.

Verzuz viewers must have thought the outfit was authentic Fendi. They called the Atlanta store the next morning hoping to purchase it. But store employees broke the bad news that the outfit wasn't an original Fendi look.

What gave it away? Maybe it was the slipshod handiwork of whomever Monica hired to stitch the outfit together.

One LA denizen wrote, "She needs to come up to nyc and visit dapper dan....no shade tho."

Another wrote: "They were calling Fendi for this? Monica looked a mess. Those colors are not good for 'tv'. And the all over print? Come on now, Mo. Not even going to touch Brandy’s choices..."

And a third wrote: "Not saying its real or fake but why would someone like Monica wear fake fendi on something that would have alot of viewers?? That stitching is looking sus tho. And then what's that black piece sticking out?"

Fashion Designer Michael Costello Apologizes for Kylie Jenner Comment

Fashion designer Michael Costello drew backlash on Instagram when he commented under a Kylie Jenner post after she tagged the designer of her birthday dress.

The drama ensued after Kylie posted an Instagram image of her 23rd birthday dress on Wednesday, August 12.

She captioned the image: "thank you my love @olivier_rousteing for the most perfect bday dress..."
 

Costello was outraged when he saw Kylie tag the designer of her birthday dress. Costello has designed dresses for Kylie for free - and he never got a shout out from her on social media.

Costello took to Instagram and posted a lengthy comment on Jenner's post, calling her out for not always tagging fashion designers like him in her social media posts.

Costello, pictured with Nicole Scherzinger, said he's not the only one who designed free dresses for Kylie and never got tagged in her posts.

"For example, Bryan Hearns makes a lot of dresses for Kylie and no one ever gives him any credit and he deserves it. Makeup artists and stylists are getting tagged but the clothing designers are not."

Costello's outburst went viral on social media, and stars such as Lala Kent and Savannah Chrisley shared their negative experiences with him.

Kent wrote: "I literally blew him up to make my custom wedding dress-he would have gotten all the 'tags & @'s' he's talking about. But I never heard back from him. why? Because I'm not 'big enough.' So cool out, Costello - you do the same s--t."

Costello apologized for his meltdown, telling Us Weekly, "I have no issues or beef with Kylie Jenner."

"I love her. The reason I commented on her post is because she is often tagging some designers but not others."

He continued:

"In regards to me, there is no bad air. Kylie has worn my outfits about four or five times. She didn't tag me in posts but her stylist has and she acknowledges me in person and says how much she appreciates my work. I just want the public to see what is happening with the designers and how we are often doing work for free for no credit."

Teyana Taylor Launching Kids’ Clothing Line

R&B singer Teyana Taylor is staying busy during the coronavirus quarantine. The mom-of-one is expanding her fashion portfolio by helping her four-year-old daughter launch her own children's collection.

Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr., nicknamed Junie, is also modeling the new line, called Juju Beez Clothing, which Teyana debuted on her Instagram page over the weekend.

"Guess what's coming soon....FINALLY?!!! JUJU BEEZ CLOTHING!!," she captioned the images.

Teyana, who already boasts her own Fade2Fit apparel range, reveals proud parents will soon be able to sport matching outfits with their kids, too.

When one follower asked, "Does it come in adult sizes?? ... asking for a friend", Teyana replied, "actually yes! Mommy & me / daddy & me coming aswell [sic]!!!"

Celebrity pals were quick to celebrate the news, with supermodel Bella Hadid gushed, "Loveeeeee!!!!! Go junieeeeee", and actress La La Anthony added, "Yes!! we can't wait. Love this."

"I was wearing leather trousers with these cowboy boots and a velvet jacket," he recalls. "I mean, it literally looked like a kid had gone into a dressing-up box."

Lizzo Prepares to Launch Thong Line With Tommy Hilfiger

Lizzo and Tommy Hilfiger are teaming up to launch a new thong line based on the pop singer's own extensive line of stretched out thongs.

Back in December, Hilfiger, 68, announced he was interested in working with Lizzo on an upcoming line. His people reached out to her people, and she is down to launch a new line featuring her signature thongs.

TMZ bumped into Lizzo after she snagged the Entertainer of the Year award at the 2020 NAACP Image Awards over the weekend. When she was asked about her plans for a new line, she confirmed she was in touch with the famed designer.

The morbidly obese singer is known as much for her exhibitionism as she is for her singing. She caught heat last year when she twerked in a black thong and a black cut out tee at a Los Angeles Lakers game.

The 31-year-old singer spends a great deal of time exposing herself on social media.

This form of exhibitionism is diagnosed as Exhibitionist disorder in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Edition 5 (DSM-5). The sufferer is sexually aroused when people view her naked or partially nude body.

Exhibitionism is more common in men.
