New music, "Celebrate," from the upcoming film remake of Sparkle, featuring the late Whitney Houston and Jordin Spark singing a midtempo duet. "Celebrate" is being promoted as Whitney's "final" song. But we already know that Whitney's estate (managed by PAt Houston) will somehow "find" other "final" songs recorded by Whitney in the days before she died.
Sparkle, the remake of the 1976 film starring Irene Cara, opens in theaters on Aug. 17.

Actor Tom Cruise appears in a photo spread for W magazine to promote his new Broadway show, 'Rock of Ages.' The 49-year-old Top Gun star appears shirtless on the cover of W with fake tattoos, and 2 lusty blondes all over his chest. Do you think he's sexy?
Cruise takes his sex appear from the big screen to the little stage for his role in the Broadway adaptation of a musical directed by his friend Adam Shankman (Hairspray).
Cruise plays an 80s rocker, and he says his family's love for musicals inspired him to take the role of a rock god. Can you see the Mission Impossible star singing on stage?

You can say what you want about troubled singer Rihanna, but she is killing the game right now (pun intended). Rihanna showed that she can easily compete with Angelina Jolie by showing off her lanky legs at the premiere of 'Battleship' in Downtown Los Angeles Thursday.
The singer and actress co-designed the white, backless dress with the plunging neckline for Armani Collections, giving onlookers a glimpse of her sexy, lithesome figure.
No one seemed to notice the other stars in the film as Rihanna made even seasoned paparazzi collectively catch their breath.

11-year-old singer Willow Smith was spotted shopping at Cartier in Paris, France today. Willow was accompanied by one of her minders and a bodyguard. It's getting kind of difficult to tell the difference between Willow and her brother, Jaden Smith. Willow is in Paris with her parents promoting 'Men In Black III,' starring her dad Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones and singer Justin Bieber. MIB III opens everywhere on May 25th.

Samuel L. Jackson is sick and tired of hearing the word "snakes" whenever he flies on a commercial airliner. "Just drive the damn plane!" he recently told a pilot who made a reference to Jackson's role in the campy 2006 film "Snakes On A Plane".
Jackson, 63, was similarly outraged when a movie critic gave his latest film, The Avengers, a bad review. Jackson took to his Twitter.com account on Thursday and urged his 825,000+ followers to help NY Times critic AO Scott find a new job -- "One he can ACTUALLY do!”.
The Avengers, which grossed $300 million so far overseas, and is expected to break box office records in the U.S. this weekend, has been panned by critics everywhere. But Jackson took particular offense to Scott's review of the Joss Whedon-directed Disney film.

Rihanna has done it again. Universal Pictures’ decision to cast the troubled singer in their latest film "Battleship" has paid off. In just the opening weekend, "Battleship" has earned a staggering $170 million in ticket sales, despite the awful reviews of her first film.
And here's the kicker: the film doesn't even open in the United States until May 18!
By the way, "Battleship" can be downloaded for personal home viewing if you know how to find it online. But I prefer to wait until the film premieres in theaters. I predict Rihanna's "Battleship" will do bigger box office numbers than the Avengers kiddie movie.

In the new Quentin Tarantino film Django Unchained, actor/comedian Jamie Foxx stars as a slave-turned-bounty hunter who sets out to rescue his wife (Kerry Washington) from a brutal Mississippi plantation owner (Leonardo DiCaprio). Foxx won an Oscar for his honest portrayal of legend Ray Charles. But can we visualize Foxx as a slave-turned-bounty hunter? Kunta Kinte he isn't.
And what would a Tarantino-directed slave movie be without a horrific rape scene like this one? There will be plenty of slave stereotypes for moviegoers to digest (a character is named "House Nigger"). Not only is Kerry raped (twice), but she is also stripped naked and horse whipped by her white slave owner. (Let the protests begin.)
I've never enjoyed watching a Tarantino film. His movies always ramble on incoherently and make no sense.
Django Unchained also stars Christopher Waltz as Jamie's mentor; Samuel L Jackson, rapper RZA (Wu Tang Clan), Kurt Russell and Don Johnson (Miami Vice). The film is set for a Christmas 2012 release.

According to celebrity blogger Cotten Kandi, actors Taraji P. Henson and Michael Ealy are dating each other exclusively. I'm happy for them! Unlike those frauds, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, these two look like a real couple.
While you ladies might be disappointed that Ealy is off the market, look on the bright side: at least she's black!
And while we're on the subject of Michael and Taraji, their new film Think Like A Man scored #1 at the box office with over $33 million in box office receipts! According to published reports, the audience was made up of mostly black females -- 62% of them were over 30.
The Cotten Kandi website has just gotten word that actors Taraji P. Henson and Michael Ealy are dating!
An eyewitness reports, the ‘Think Like A Man’ co-stars were spotted during a recent outing at a basketball game at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. They entered the arena through a private entrance and, although they tried to be discrete, they were caught kissing! The couple seemed to have been enjoying each others company, sitting close and canoodling.
Henson and Ealy, are believed to have gotten pretty close while filming newly released film, ‘Think Like A Man’, and if you were among the millions of people who saw the film this weekend, you’ll know, their chemistry was bursting through the screen.
Steve Harvey's best-seller, Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, is now a big-screen movie with an all-star cast. The movie Think Like A Man will do well in theaters when it's released on April 20, because the one thing black women have in common is trifling black men.
But who raised men to be what they are today?
If women really want to better understand men, we need only to look inside ourselves since men sprang from our loins. The problem women have in relationships has more to do with our way of thinking than with theirs. Most women go into relationships with an unrealistic list of expectations and demands -- when all a man wants is sex and a hot meal when he comes home from work.
Women are quick to demand that men put a ring on it after the dating grace period is up. But what are women doing to earn that ring? Steve Harvey was right: men need loyalty and respect from women. And in return, women will get that protector and provider of their dreams. Thinking like a man won't solve your relationship problems if you refuse to act like a lady.
Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and Anthony Mackie ("She Hate Me") are currently shooting the Michael Bay film 'Pain & Gain' in Miami, Florida. This ought to be a movie that the muscle heads in your life will love. Pain and Gain is based on a true story about a pair of bodybuilders who get caught up in an extortion ring and a kidnapping scheme that goes terribly wrong. Pain and Gain, which also stars veteran actor Ed Harris, is scheduled for a Summer 2013 release.
