Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker have settled their divorce after 11 years of marriage. The former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and Tucker informed the court that they reached a settlement. They will provide the court with the settlement paperwork next week, TMZ reports.

The settlement covers child custody and a parenting plan. Kandi wants primary custody of son Ace and daughter Blaze.

Tucker told the court he was the primary custodian of the children while Kandi was away working in New York City. But she disputed his claims.

Tucker lived in an apartment attached to Kandi’s home once occupied by her daughter Riley.

He claimed he was only living in the apartment because Kandi put him out of the main house.

Tucker asked the court to award him spousal support because he’s broke. Kandi tried to help him out by financing multiple businesses for him. But all of the businesses failed.

A judge recently ordered them to pay $140,000 to the landlord of their failed restaurant business after they stopped paying the lease.

“Having all those different businesses has been a stressful situation,” Kandi said during a recent appearance on the “Question Everything” podcast.

“Doing things together is – we not on the same page. I just want to go back to my creative space,” she added.

Kandi announced their split in November. “After deep thought and a lot of prayer, I’ve made the decision to move forward with a divorce,” Kandi told PEOPLE exclusively.

“This is a difficult and emotional time, but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect. I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family, and my own growth. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace, and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family.”

Pastor orders congregation to bring their tax returns for his review

A pastor is going viral for telling his congregation to bring their tax returns to church so he can make sure they’re not playing in his face.

In a viral video, the unidentified pastor said, “Next week I am asking that all church members bring a copy of your tax return so I can review ’em. I’ma put a stop to some of y’all playing in my face during tithes and offerings on Sunday mornings!”

“Amen!” the congregation said in response.

The pastor was irate that some of his congregation didn’t tithe enough to fill the church’s coffers.

Some churches use tithes to provide food and services to those who are in need. But that’s rare.

Many churches in the Black community require members to bring their tax returns for review. But the pastor’s tone is raising eyebrows.

Churches traditionally require congregants to tithe 10% of their income to the church. Some pastors require more than 10%.

Tithes are intended to pay the church’s maintenance and utilities, as well as pay the mortgage on the pastor’s home and monthly car lease.

Last March, Pastor Marvin Sapp went viral for ordering ushers to lock the doors until 1,000 congregants gave him $20 each.

Sapp said his goal was to raise $40,000 for the church, but he didn’t specify why.

The Internet took issue with Sapp holding people against their will until they paid up.

Sapp responded to the public backlash by saying he asked his parishioners to “plant a seed” of $20.

“I also challenged leadership to lead by example by sowing $100. That evening, I personally gave much more,” he wrote.

The White House pushed back on an “unverified” ABC News report that Iran threatened the West Coast of the United States with drones.

ABC News referenced an email sent in February to police departments in California warning that Iran could retaliate over the U.S. military strikes.

The email was not intended to be released to the public.

At the top of the email, the FBI wrote in all caps:

But ABC News reported the email as facts.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt pushed back, saying “no such threat from Iran to our homeland exists, and it never did.”

“This post and story should be immediately retracted by ABC News for providing false information to intentionally alarm the American people,” Leavitt wrote in a post on the social media platform X.com.

“They wrote this based on one email that was sent to local law enforcement in California about a single, unverified tip. The email even states the tip was based on *unverified* intelligence. Yet ABC News left out this critical fact in their story! WHY?” she wrote.

Rumors have been swirling that actress Kerry Washington had a facelift recently. Fans shared before and after photos of the 49-year-old “Scandal” star as proof that she had work done.

Even with the surgery, Kerry is still a beautiful woman.

While there’s no proof that she went under the knife, plastic surgeons point out signs of a facelift and nose job.

They say she had a minor nose job, as well as cheek implants and eyelid surgery. She also apparently had botox injections to remove creases around her eyes and lips.

One fan wrote on Data Lounge, “She’s a pretty lady but not a classic beauty. The nose is still a little big, bulbous. Her lovely eyes are oddly set. Her head is a bit long. Regardless, she’s smart enough to realize that a lot of working actresses keep their quirks in order to keep their identity.”

Others wrote: “This was the result of Kerry Washington plastic surgery. This proedure was also well-done and her eyes got a natural look as well.”

“Nose job, botox, fillers and eyelid surgery could be the reason of Kerry Washington changing face.”

Kerry (pictured with her mom, Valerie) has not confirmed or denied having plastic surgery done. But she did share her skincare secrets, which include Retinol and lots of water.

“Retinol has been a game changer,” she told Oprah Daily. “I grew up with eczema and sensitive skin, so I was taught from a really young age how important it is to stay hydrated.”

She continued: “When my kids were newborns, I’d often joke that our makeup remover wipes were my shower. It was like, ‘This is it today!’ They’re super effective, by the way. But now, depending on the day, I’m getting more and more into my nightly routine. I look forward to that time. For me, it’s always been about getting stuff off my face with wipes and cleanser, but adding in a retinol has been a game changer. It’s so good, not just for fine lines and wrinkles but for hyperpigmentation (dark spots). And [this retinol night cream] is nourishing; it really feels like I’m doing something to nurture and heal.”

Kerry also swears by sunscreen – even though her natural melanin protects her skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays.

“I was raised to wear sunscreen, but it was something we put on at the pool or beach. Since working with Neutrogena for the past decade, I’ve come to understand how important it is to apply it daily,” she said. “It’s become a real priority for me, both in terms of minimizing sun damage and signs of aging like wrinkles and dark spots but also preventing skin cancer.”

Kerry is married to former NFL cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha and they share 2 children.

A Houston man claims he suffered food poisoning after eating a cup of Mama Tina Knowles’ seafood gumbo at the Houston Rodeo over the weekend.

In a livestream video, the man said the gumbo was “salty” before clearing his throat. He then said the gumbo was “pretty good.”

The man later said he “threw up” all of Mama Tina’s gumbo. “Y’all see I’m sweating. I just threw up all that throw up.”

The video showed the man’s stomach contents on the ground. But viewers pointed out the mess didn’t look like Mama Tina’s gumbo.

Mama Tina brought her famous gumbo to the Houston Rodeo which ends on March 22. Tina said it takes 16-18 hours to cook her gumbo which she sells for $25-$30 a cup.

Terrence Ford, marketing manager for the Democratic Governors Association, rushed to Mama Tina’s defense on X.com.

Terrence demanded to know where are the other people who got food poisoning after eating Mama Tina’s gumbo.

Some fans traveled from California and Georgia to taste Mama Tina’s gumbo. The reviews have been mixed. One woman from New Orleans said the gumbo tastes like beef stew. “This is not gumbo at all. I hate to say that, but it’s not. Not New Orleans style, at least. Sorry, Mama Tina.”

Timothée, also known as Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend, made the comment at a town hall with actor Matthew McConaughey in February.

Timothée is campaigning for an Oscar award for Best Actor for his role in A24’s Marty Supreme. But industry insiders say his comments hurt his Oscar chances.

An industry insider called the actor “tone-deaf” and criticized his “attitude on the press tour.”

But Sheryl Lee Ralph defended Timothée at the recent TIME Women of the Year Awards. She noted that Timothée’s mother, sister, and aunt are ballerinas.

“When young Timothée Chalamet spoke about ballet and all of that, he was just mad at his mother that day,” she said. “He was just mad at his sister that day. He was just mad at his aunt that day. He didn’t mean what he says, because I know that boy loves a few – has loved a few ballerinas. Yes he has.”

According to a study published in Psychology Today, the prevalence of anxiety among 18-to-25-year-olds more than doubled from 2008 to 2018.

Social media usage among 18-to-25 year-olds was 65% in 2008. Now social media usage is around 99%.

Internet addiction can have a major disruptive influence on a person’s life. When young people aren’t using social media, they suffer from withdrawal effects.

Some children committed suicide after communicating with AI. A man in his 30s took his own life after AI instructed him to find a mass weapon of destruction.

Psychology Today notes that social media addiction is not a current diagnosis in the DSM-5 (manual of mental disorders).

The FBI has issued drone warnings for Americans living on the West Coast of the United States. The FBI warned police departments in California that Iran may retaliate for American attacks by launching drones against the West Coast.

According to ABC News, “Iran allegedly aspired to conduct a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles from an unidentified vessel off the coast … specifically against unspecified targets in California, in the event that the US conducted strikes against Iran. We have no additional information on the timing, method, target, or perpetrators of this alleged attack.”

The warning came weeks after President Trump ordered missile strikes in Iran that killed the supreme leader and other top Iranian officials.

The LA Sheriff’s Department said it is on high alert “in light of current global events”.

“Out of an abundance of caution, and in recognition of current religious observances, the Department has continued increased patrols around places of worship, cultural institutions, and other prominent locations throughout the County,” the department said in a statement.

“We have proactively reviewed our deployment plans, enhanced coordination with our patrol stations, and ensured that additional resources are available should they be needed.”

The Pentagon said most of the drones launched across the Persian Gulf region have been intercepted. But some attack drones have gotten through and caused damage.

Court documents reveal a substantial loan from Jay-Z to Fawn Weaver’s whiskey company Uncle Nearest.

According to Farm Credit Mid-America’s recent court filing, Fawn Weaver told the lender that the $20 million was a loan from her Grant Sidney company.

Farm Credit alleges the $20 million loan was issued through Jay-Z’s venture capital firm, MarcyPen.

MarcyPen was launched in late 2024 by Jay-Z and business partners Jay Brown, Larry Marcus, Robbie Robinson and D’Rita Robinson.

According to court records, MarcyPen provided $20 million to Fawn and her husband Keith Weaver, owners of the first black-owned whiskey distillery named in honor of a Black American.

Farm Credit Mid-America, the Weavers’ main creditor, claims Uncle Nearest failed to disclose the true source of the $20 million loan.

Farm Credit sued the Weavers for $108 million in 2025. The lawsuit claimed the Weavers, owners of Uncle Nearest, Nearest Green Distillery, and Uncle Nearest Real Estate Holdings, failed to repay $108 million from several loans last year.

Farm Credit accused the Weavers of hiding assets including Jay-Z’s $20 million loan.

In August 2025 a judge ordered the Weavers to give up control of Uncle Nearest.

A federal judge in Tennessee placed Uncle Nearest whiskey distillery under a court-appointed receivership.

In a February brief, Farm Credit wrote, “The evidence clearly demonstrates that Fawn Weaver and the prior management team have an egregious inability to effectively manage Uncle Nearest and navigate it out of its distressed situation.”

But Fawn Weaver said she remains unbothered by her legal challenges.

“Just know, I started this process unbothered and unmoved. I remain unbothered and unmoved,” she said.

Kandi Burruss regrets opening multiple businesses with her estranged husband Todd Tucker. “Having all those different businesses has been a stressful situation,” she said during a recent appearance on the “Question Everything” podcast.

Kandi said she wants to focus on the creative side now that she’s getting a divorce. “Doing things together is – we not on the same page. I just want to go back to my creative space.”

One of those businesses is their restaurant, Blaze Steak & Seafood, named after their 6-year-old daughter.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, a judge ordered Kandi and Todd to pay $140,000 to their former landlord based on a settlement they reached over the debt for back rent.

Paras Griffin/Getty Images

Their company, Burruss Tucker Restaurant Group, agreed to pay the landlord $140,509.10 for rent and remediation costs.

Kandi and Todd had been battling the landlord for a year. The court found that Kandi and Todd’s restaurant had entered into a valid and binding settlement agreement with the landlord to pay the $140,000. But Kandi’s company filed counterclaims against the landlord over the lease.

TMZ reports the court found that the settlement resolved all those claims, and Kandi and Todd agreed to pay $140,000.

Actually, Kandi will be paying the settlement, since Todd is so broke that he’s living in Riley Burruss’ old apartment attached to Kandi’s $1.7 million mansion in Southwest Atlanta.
