When asked about opening his heart to a man, August said his sexuality was determined by a higher power.

“To be honest with you, bro, it’s not even me that’s opening my heart. It’s that power that’s higher than myself,” he said. “I always say that the greatest gift that God could have ever given me was exposure. To expose me to so many different kinds of people, places, things. So, it’s like when people want you to define yourself as whether you’re gay, straight… Love is, like, much more complex and has much more depth.”

August went on to say “love is a language” and “I’m fluent in love as it speaks to me… You can’t take it personal because we haven’t all been exposed to the same thing. People have a very monolithic way of viewing things.”

August Alsina is best known for breaking up Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s happy marriage.

The R&B singer confirmed in 2020 that he was once in a relationship with Jada and that Will Smith gave him his blessing.

“I love those people like my family. I don’t ever have a bad thing to say about them. They are beautiful people,” August told Angela Yee in an interview.

Will and Jada now live separate lives.

Dr. Umar said the Harris campaign approached him with an offer of $10,000 to do an interview with Harris.

“Black vote ain’t for sale no more,” Umar said in a livestream video. “Black vote ain’t for sale. We bartering on business. We standing on business. Bring us some tangibles or get out of my face.”

Umar chastised syndicated radio host Rickey Smiley for crying on the radio in support of Harris.

“Rickey Smiley, I love you, but crying on the radio for Kamala Harris, my brother, that’s an all-time low,” Umar said. “Don’t do that again Rickey Smiley. Don’t you get on your radio show and cry for Kamala.”

Umar continued: “If you wanna cry for Kabama Harris [sic]… You do that in the privacy of your house.”

Then Umar turned his attention to Steve Harvey who went viral for telling Black people to shut up and vote. (Click here if you missed that story.)

Umar said Steve Harvey and Rickey Smiley only support Harris because they’re getting paid.

“Y’all only carried on ’cause y’all got paid to carry on,” he said. “Kamala Harris and the Democratic plantation is paying you celebrities – paying you to shame Black people into voting. Y’all know we not gonna get nothing out of that vote… But they’re being paid – y’all being bought!”

Umar said the Harris camp offered him $10,000 for an interview with Harris, but he declined.

“I don’t want your money, but we can definitely do the interview,” he said. “Yes we can do the interview. Keep your damn money. King Kong Konsciousness ain’t for sale. I’m one of the real ones. Silverback Garvey gorilla… Don’t come to me with no propositions for money. I don’t live for no money. I’m not one of these goofy ass rappers whose whole life is nothing but what you can buy and own. You dealing with real African DNA. This is real ancestral energy over here. I’m not no Rickey Smiley, Steve Harvey. You don’t drop no check off and say get the Negroes to the plantation on November the 4th.”

Dr. Umar also provided text messages from the Harris campaign to validate his claim.

Usher delayed the start of his “Past Present Future” tour because of a “painful neck injury.”

Usher claims he injured his neck while rehearsing for the tour earlier this week, TMZ reported.

In a social media post on August 14, the 45-year-old crooner announced he was postponing the opening night of his tour at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.

He didn’t mention a neck injury in his post.

On Thursday, Usher postponed all of his Atlanta shows, including tonight’s concert (Aug. 16) and Saturday (Aug. 17).

The Atlanta shows are rescheduled for December. Usher announced his “Past Present Future” tour will kick off on Aug. 20 in Washington, D.C.

Insiders claim Usher delayed the start of the tour in Atlanta due to low ticket sales.

TicketMaster.com showed hundreds of tickets were still available for those shows. None of the shows were sold out.

Ticket prices for the Atlanta shows ranged from $199-$886. The most expensive tickets were $886 for front row seats. Many VIP pit (standing room only) tickets were also available for $750 each.

Usher’s fans complained that ticket prices were too high in this Biden-Harris economy. People are more concerned about the price of gas and groceries.

Vice President Kamala Harris proposes $25,000 in down payment assistance for first-time homebuyers.

The money is part of the economic agenda that Harris will unveil in Raleigh, NC on Friday, ABC News reported.

According to a campaign official, the Harris-Walz administration will provide first-time homebuyers who have paid their rent on time for 2 years up to $25,000 in down-payment assistance.

“Many Americans work hard at their jobs, save, and pay their rent on time month after month. But they can’t save enough after paying their rent and other bills to save for a down payment,” the Harris-Walz campaign said in a statement to ABC News. “As the Harris-Walz plan starts to expand the supply of entry-level homes, they will, during their first term, provide working families who have paid their rent on time for two years and are buying their first home up to $25,000 in down-payment assistance.

The campaign said more generous support would be provided to “first-generation homeowners” whose parents didn’t own a home.

“This plan will significantly simplify and expand the reach of down-payment assistance, allowing over 1 million first time-buyers per year – including first-generation home buyers – to get the funds they need to buy a house when they are ready to buy it,” the Harris campaign said.

A campaign official said Vice President Harris’ economic agenda will “help end the housing supply shortage” with the construction of 3 million new housing units. Also, she will stop Wall Street investors like BlackRock from buying homes in bulk.

At least one BlackRock executive is a Harris campaign advisor.

Campaign officials said Harris will propose a new $40 billion innovation fund that will be used by local governments to build housing and support “innovative” methods of construction financing. It will also allow federal lands to be eligible for new housing developments.

Harris leads Trump 54% to 44%, as Americans place their bets on the next president.

The Harris campaign said Wednesday that if elected, Harris will work in her first 100 days to help Congress pass a national ban on “price gouging” for food and groceries.

The price of groceries has skyrocketed and the Harris campaign has vowed to “aggressively” investigate price-fixing in meat supply chains specifically.

On Friday, Aug. 16, Harris will announce measures to address housing costs.

The Guardian reports she will support plans to fund more affordable housing and build communities that are more resistant to climate change.

The Harris campaign said she will direct the Federal Trade Commission to impose “harsh penalties” on firms that insist on “price gouging.”

Harris’s policy announcement comes as Republicans criticize her for failing to announce her plans for the economy.

Harris has dodged major news media outlets since she became the presumptive Democratic nominee in July when Joe Biden dropped out of the race.

She declined an interview request with TIME magazine which placed her on the cover of its latest edition. Harris has gone more than 25 days without holding a formal press conference or a sit-down interview.

Her campaign has said the “basement campaign” strategy worked for Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

ESPN Fires Robert Griffin III After He Defended FSU Football

ESPN fired former Baltimore Ravens quarterback Robert Griffin III, according to The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand.

Griffin joined ESPN as a play-by-play analyst in 2021. He was terminated on Thursday, August 15, with two years remaining on his contract.

“ESPN is entering the end of its fiscal year, where it typically makes these types of decisions,” Marchand reported. “Griffin’s stock had fallen, making him a prime candidate to be let go. While his seven-figure-per-year salary will be honored, his role had diminished to a point where ESPN decided to not keep him on.”

Hours before the news broke on Thursday, Griffin posted on X.com.

“There are people in your circle saying they want you to win, but doing everything they can to make you lose. Don’t be afraid to cut people off when they keep handing you the scissors.”

Others say Griffin’s problematic social media posts got him in trouble.

“Dude said this yesterday and then espn fired him today,” one fan wrote in reference to Griffin’s August 13 X post defending Florida State football.

@BarstoolFSU tweeted: “Barely 2 days after speaking up for Florida State, RG3 gets fired along side Sam Ponder. They’re not even trying to hide their bias anymore, sad.”

Men lost their minds over a sexy photo of Kelly Rowland that went viral on X.com on Wednesday. The image shows the Destiny’s Child singer reclining in a lawn chair while wearing a green crop top and matching bikini bottom.

For years fans have declared Kelly Rowland the sexiest member of Destiny’s Child. The photo of the 43-year-old singer and actress proved they were right.

However, many X.com users pointed out the image was AI-generated. The easiest way to tell if an image is AI-generated is to check the hands and fingers.

Meanwhile, the real Kelly Rowland spent quality time with her sons, Titan (left) and Noah at Great Wolf Lodge’s new water park resort in Webster, Texas on Wednesday, August 07.

The Atlanta-born singer celebrated the grand opening of the water park resort that employs nearly 700 Texans. The indoor water park resort is the Chicago-based company’s 22nd location in the U.S. and the second in Texas.

Tearful veteran says she sold her food truck to an illegal immigrant for cash

A U.S. military veteran, who worked hard to start her own business, tearfully shared her story of selling her food truck to an illegal immigrant for cash.

The woman, who voted for Joe Biden, cries as she explains her story. She said she sold her food truck to an illegal immigrant who has no credit, but he received cash funds from the U.S. government to buy her food truck.

The veteran said she paid $25,000 cash for her first food truck in 2019. “I worked hard to pay for this truck. I’m now selling it,” she said.

She said a man who offered to purchase her food truck told her that he is illegal and he can’t get a bank loan. But he showed her paperwork that proved he will receive cash from the government to buy her food truck.

“I need my president to tell me why I’ve worked so hard all these years, all these decades, and couldn’t get a business loan,” the woman said through tears. “But I bust my ass to get the money to create my business, and now we’ve got immigrants coming here, and they’re getting money. Money! For doing nothing but just being here. It’s not right, and I want answers.”

Earlier this month, a photo of an EBT receipt went viral on X (formerly Twitter). The photo – which was debunked as a hoax – showed a receipt with an EBT balance of $23,401.82 and a cash balance of $4,498.85.

The photo was debunked because someone changed the number “1” to a “2”. The actual receipt reads $13,401.82, plus $4,498.85 in cash. That’s still a lot more money than Americans receive in government handouts.
