Fantasia Reveals Medical Scare

According to SOHH Ya Heard, Fantasia broke down on stage during an appearance at a private event over the weekend and was unable to go on.

Fantasia, who was photographed leaving a Beverly Hills doctor’s office (above) recently, confessed that she was diagnosed with polyps on her vocal cords.

Fantasia was very emotional as she spoke to industry veterans at The 4th Annual Agape Gospel Theater & Film Awards. She said she had the tumors surgically removed two weeks ago. It isn’t clear if the growths were determined to be cancerous.

But a source close to Fantasia who spoke to Sandrarose.com today on condition of anonymity, said emphatically, “She doesn’t have cancer.”

I love racist people. They keep us alert and remind us that we can’t ever sleep on them. No one knows this more than presidential candidate Barack Obama.

The words that come out of a racist’s mouth clearly illustrates why the First Amendment of the United States Constitution is so important. Racists have the freedom to spew their hateful rhetoric and their words allows us to see how small minded and pathetic they really are.

In a post on his conservative right wing blog, nationally syndicated columnist Pat buchanon responded to Barack Obama’s speech on race by taking the stance that many white Americans took: that Obama was talking down to them.

“Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America,” writes Buchanon. “Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to.”

The Jacksons are flat broke (again)

According to an article in the NY Post, the famous Jackson siblings are broke. It appears that millionaire sibling Michael Jackson and his even more wealthy sister Janet are not sharing the wealth with their less talented brothers.

According to the Post, a couple of the brothers are still living at home with mommy. But isn’t this the same story told in different variations over the past twenty years? Seriously, when has the lesser talented Jacksons ever been ballers? (Source)

Tyra Banks stalker set free by judge

A man who has been stalking tv talk show host Tyra Banks for months now, was set free yesterday by a Manhattan judge.

Brady Green, 37, sent harassing emails to Tyra and has hounded her with phone calls and letters for months. On Tuesday, the Dublin, GA native took a bus to New York and appeared in the lobby where Tyra’s tv show is taped asking to speak with Tyra.

He was promptly removed from the premises. But like all pests, he was back sitting across the street from Tyra’s studio in a McDonald’s window seat sipping coffee and thumbing through magazine articles on Tyra.

The cops were called and Brady was arrested. He pleaded not guilty in a Manhattan courtroom yesterday, where a judge released him on his own recognizance even though he is an ex-con.

Maybe the judge is waiting for him to kill Tyra before he takes action? (Source)

The blog owner of CL has fired popular openly gay blogger B. Scott according to a video posted on his blog. As I wrote earlier, the blog owner is sadly out of touch with her readers. She miscalculated the response that her hiring an openly gay blogger would cause.

The hateful comments on CL caused readers to quote scriptures and sprinkle Holy water in the threads. According to B. Scott, a large portion of the black community is homophobic. “There’s nothing wrong with being gay. God made me this way. I relish it… if you’re homophobic, you’re stupid and you’re ignorant” he said.

I’m not a regular visitor to Concreteloop.com, and in fact, the name is banned on this site as are links to that blog. Why don’t I like that site, well, for one thing it is difficult to navigate and the blog owner’s butt kissing is a little too extreme for me.

So it came as a surprise to me when I heard that the blog owner signed flamboyant openly gay blogger B. Scott as a contributor.

Clearly, the blog owner didn’t know her audience very well because after this Friday’s B. Scott post, her readers were threatening to mutiny. The comments were so bad that another gay blogger made a video in protest.

God said come as you are in sin or in shame to repent your sins and reconcile with Him. Over 15,000 faithful answered that call on Easter Sunday for a special service sponsored by New Birth Baptist church at the Georgia Dome.

One of the attendees was especially grateful to be there: last week a federal magistrate judge gave rapper T.I. special permission to worship with his family and friends at the Dome on Sunday.

T.I. and his family arrived at the dome aboard his favorite mode of transportation: a special tour bus kitted out with plasma tvs. A friend who spoke with Tiny by cell phone aboard the bus could hear T.I. in the background telling his kids, “y’all gotta be good today!”

Tiny promised the caller that there would be photo ops available at the dome once they arrived. “[T.I.] is expecting that,” she said. Tiny, who is 6 months pregnant with a boy, looked radiant as she patted her belly backstage at the dome.

The service was very emotional and moving as T.I. took the podium to give a speech on AIDS and its effects on the black community. T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, said, “We’re here to celebrate the death of our Lord and Savior,” Harris said, “he was willing to give his life for us so that we may ask for forgiveness for our sins and be forgiven and saved…no matter how many times we have to ask…or how long it takes to get it right.”

It’s a shame when a man so blatantly uses his own children for photo ops. What was the purpose of bringing his twins out on stage at the MOTB 4 Finale yesterday? Were they on the show? Sean doesn’t promote his own artists as much as he promotes these twin girls. Where are your other kids at Sean?

After an attempted carjacking left him fighting for his life with a gun shot wound to the face – Atlanta’s gutta rapper DG Yola is back in the studio cranking out raw hits for the streets.

Just one year ago, Yola was in critical condition at Atlanta Medical Center. A small plate was surgically inserted into his face to hold his shattered jaw together. For months afterward, Yola sipped his meals through a straw.

His amazing recovery from the brink of death is documented in a gritty street DVD titled “Neva Gon Stop” available on his Myspace page. Watch dramatic video of his hospital stay and recovery (WARNING: graphic).

Now Yola, who’s break out single “Aint Gon’ Let Up” put Atlanta’s West side on the map, returns to reclaim the streets where he almost lost his life.

You know, you have your hatahs and then you have your haters. The difference between the two is that haters hate on everything and everybody for no damn reason. Take for example this chick named Ryane W. who emailed me what she claimed was a transcript from Rocko Da Don‘s appearance on 106 & Park on Tuesday.

I created an entire post on what she claimed Rocko said on national TV about Monica – which was a lie. True enough, I could have simply Googled the truth, but I trusted this hater – which is something you never do.

Rayne claimed Rocsi asked Rocko, “What exactly is your relationship with Monica?” What Rocsi actually asked was how involved was Monica in Rocko’s rap career. It wasn’t a personal question. So Rocko didn’t go there. He simply shouted out Monica for her vocal contribution to his record, and he added, “She blessed me.”

I did a little bit more digging and I found that the quote Rayne attributed to Rocko actually came from a print interview Rocko did 2 weeks ago on BET.com. You can read that interview here.

As I said in an earlier post, some men find it difficult to express their true feelings about their woman in front of strangers – especially a dude who shouldn’t be asking those type of questions in the first place.

If you want proof of how Rocko really feels for Monica, read his Thank you’s on the liner of his CD. He says: “To the home team: Monica and my children, Malik, Lil Rock and Romelo. Y’all are all I have in this world!”

And in a recent interview on Mz Kitti’s show on XM Sattelite radio, Rocko gives Monica her props, saying, “As far as R&B singers… she got the best voice that I done heard… she got a very sexy voice.”

And finally, on his hot single “Hustle Fo” featuring Lloyd off his “Self Made” CD, Rocko raps,

    “My baby just had a baby,
    I got another son
    My kids ain’t gotta hustle,
    They got trust funds”
