Feds probe Heath ledger’s drug dealer

The government has launched an investigation to determine how actor Heath Ledger was able to obtain so many prescription drugs.

The government is investigating whether a licensed doctor stepped outside of the normal standard of practice to supply drugs to an addict for recreational use rather than for therapeutic use.

When dealing with the very rich, certain money hungry doctors forget their oath to first, do no harm to their patients.

According to Dr. Michael Hunter, a prominent forensic pathologist, the level of tranquilizers, pain killers and sleeping pills in Ledger’s system were intended to obtain an intoxicant effect – not for therapeutic use.

Dr. Hunter tells PEOPLE that the combination of the powerful drugs most likely caused “poly-drug intoxication” which led to respiratory arrest. “His breathing probably got slower and slower until it stopped all together,” he said. (source)

Hollywood stars running to rehab

Not wanting to become statistics, actresses Eva Mendes, Delta Burke and Kirsten Dunst checked themselves into separate rehab facilities to kick their dependence on supscription meds.

TMZ.com reports former Designing Women star Delta Burke has been in a psychiatric hospital since last week.

Burke, 51, is seeking treatment for anxiety, depression and substance abuse. “I was on so many medications and they just weren’t working,” Burke said.

Spider Man star Kirsten Dunst recently checked herself into Cirque Lodge in Utah, Star magazine reports. “She desperately needed help,” a source in Utah tells Star. “She seemed to be intoxicated when she checked in because she was acting really erratic. She was extremely emotional, constantly breaking down in tears.

“She not in a good place right now, but thankfully, she’s getting the help she needs.” Cirque was also the rehab of choice for other famous patients such as Eva Mendes, Lindsay Lohan, Richie Sambora and Mary-Kate Olsen whose friend Heath Ledger died of a drug overdose on Jan. 22 in NY.

Kobe Beans Bryant and the Lakers rolled into A town and got their heads handed to them by the Hawks last night. Joe Johnson led all scorers with 28 points as the Hawks wore down the Laker’s defense and sent them packing 98-95.

Later that night, a few Lakers players were spotted partying at NOIR nightclub with Young Jeezy who had something to say about the Keyshia Cole mess (more on that later).

Meanwhile, the Suns acquired Miami Heat center Shaquille O’Neal in a stunning trade for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks. The deal was finalized on Wednesday when the four-time NBA champ passed a physical despite being out with a hip injury. O’Neal turns 36 next month.

Well, actually I never heard of the Lori Ann Gibson look-a-like until today while I was browsing other blogs. Apparently, Teyana Taylor is a protege of super producer Pharrell Williams. And while she can definitely sing, her single “Google Me” is very average.

Teyana and some of her friends including producer Jazze Pha, Omarion and Polow Da Don filmed a video for her first single “Google Me” in Brooklyn. With all that star power behind her, average single or not, you’ll be hearing a lot more from this hottie.

Young Jeezy’s rep says he’s not dating Keyshia Cole

So yesterday I receive an email from Young Jeezy’s publicist Tracy Nguyen of 5WPR denying a relationship between her client Young Jeezy and Keyshia Cole. Tracy, who lives way up yonder in New York, said my spy couldn’t have spotted Keyshia and Jeezy shopping together for shoes in Little 5 Points because, well, they’re just friends.

In her email to me, Tracy wrote: “As far as their rumored status of being a couple, to my knowledge they are just good friends and anything that you hear about otherwise is gossip.”

Despite the recent sightings of Jeezy and Keyshia all over the map – even dining together with his young son – we stand corrected on the rumor that Jeezy and Keyshia are a couple. So that brings us back to the woman friends say Jeezy is still making time with – his longtime girlfriend Mialy. We wonder how she’s holding up through all this?

It must be hard for Jeezy – who is always a gentleman to me when I see him out – to juggle women who frequent the same blogs and run in the same circles. That would explain the email from Jeezy’s publicist asking me to “set the record straight” on the alleged relationship.

Usher releases 2 more garbage singles

Usher has yet to announce a release date for his untitled follow-up to the smash album Confessions. But his longtime collaborator Jermaine Dupri tells MTV something is coming.

The question is does anyone still care at this point? In the past year Usher’s camp has leaked enough singles to fill an entire album. None of the singles are impressive or worthy of note.

Now MTV reports two more singles have been dumped on the Internets if anyone cares: “Moving Mountains” produced by Timbaland and “Make Love in The Club” produced by Polow Da Don. Click the links to listen.

Heath Ledger’s ‘accident’ more like suicide; Pimp C died from sleeping condition

The NY coroner’s office released toxioclogy reports ruling actor Heath Ledger‘s death an “accident” based on results showing he had 3 different anti-anxiety medications and 2 different sleeping pills in his system.

Overdosing on a few sleeping pills is an accident. But Ledger had Valium, Ativan, Xanax, Lunesta and Restoril in his bloodstream at the time of his death. That’s more like suicide or murder.

In somewhat related news, an LA county coroner also ruled rapper Chad “Pimp C” Butler‘s untimely death an accident due to the combination of sleep apnea and the effects of cough medicine. Despite all the headlines blaming Pimp C’s death on cough medicine, it’s more likely he died from his medical condition sleep apnea considering the levels of Phenergen and Codeine in his bloodstream were not that high.

Certain bloggers are going loony over this pic of Rihanna performing in the Bahamas over the weekend. One melanin-challenged blogger wrote, “Rihanna keeps it classy at the Atlantis Paradise Island last night, working her perfectly toned ass on stage during a sultry performance.”

Now y’all know Rihanna is one of my favorites in music right now, but in this case, “perfectly toned ass” is a stretch by anyone’s imagination.

Here in Atlanta we have strip clubs that cater to men who prefer mixed women with “perfectly toned” asses, so I can see why that particular blogger would write that. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that Rihanna is still the #1 star in the world. Assets or no assets.

Halle Berry, 41, doesn’t exactly look thrilled to be out & about with her baby daddy Gabriel Aubry, 32, who has been missing in action lately. Maybe Halle read the blogs questioning Aubry’s absence and ordered him to the West coast. The two were spotted grabbing takeout on Monday at P.F. Changs in Santa Monica, Calif.
