Atlanta Falcons rookie James Pearce Jr. was released from the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center after posting a $20,500 bond on Sunday night. He walked out of jail surrounded by three attorneys and got into a waiting Uber VIP vehicle.

James was given a pre-trial condition order to stay-away from his girlfriend, Rickea Jackson, 24, who plays for the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA.

Security was tight outside the jail because Rickea’s male fans threatened to “jump” James when he got out.

The Falcons linebacker faces 5 felony counts following his arrest on Saturday for stalking Rickea.

He faces two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon (his Lamborghini), one count of stalking, one count of aggravated battery of a police officer and one count of eluding police and resisting without violence.

James, 22, was arrested on Saturday after he crashed his Lamborghini into Rickea’s car twice as she frantically drove to a police station in Miami.


According to reports, he attempted to get into her car at an intersection, but she drove away. James led police on a brief chase that ended in a crash at NW 103rd Avenue and 66th Street. He allegedly hit an officer with his vehicle before police forced him out of the car with guns drawn.

It took 7 police officers to wrestle the 6-5 linebacker to the ground.

Rickea is in Miami playing for the Breeze BC of the Unrivaled 3×3 women’s basketball league during the off-season.

James attended the NFL Honors in San Francisco on Feb. 5, where his mother praised him as a man with “a heart of gold, deep love for family and friends and a true resilience in the face of doubt.”

After the event, James flew to Miami, where he is accused of stalking Rickea.

Singer Chris Brown once said he would “never” perform during the Super Bowl Halftime. But he had a change of heart while watching Puerto Rican pop star Bad Bunny’s all-Spanish halftime show on Sunday.

Millions of viewers tuned in to watch Benito’s cultural extravaganza, featuring fellow Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin and New Yorker Lady Gaga perform.

Rapper Cardi B and actress Jessica Alba were also spotted among the crowd of dancers on the field.

Chris Brown, who watched from home, took to his Instagram stories to suggest himself as next year’s Super Bowl Halftime headliner.

“I think it’s safe to say… they need me,” the Grammy-winning singer wrote.

Chris Brown’s reaction to the halftime show drew a huge response across all social media platforms.

One person wrote on TGJ: “Chris ain’t lying. He would have been waaaaaaaaaay better. Breezy did what he did to Rihanna in the summer of 536 B.C. but society, really the whites, still won’t let it go.”

Another person wrote: “The show wasn’t relatable to the majority of the sport viewing population. It wasn’t good at all! Shakira and JLO were able to mix things well and unfortunately bad bunny fell flat. Chris Brown definitely would’ve put on a show.”

A third person commented: “In 50 years people will remember Bad Bunny for sweeping the Grammys and standing up against Trump… and will remember Chris Brown for being the stain of USA sweeping violence against Black women under the rug not the music.”

James Pearce Jr.’s mom praised him at NFL Honors, just 2 days before he assaulted his WNBA girlfriend and tried to run her off the road in Miami.

A video of Kizzy Morris’ emotional speech is going viral on social media. In the video, she said James has “a heart of gold” and “deep love” for his family and friends.

“I’m even prouder of the man he’s become. James has a heart of gold, deep love for family and friends and a true resilience in the face of doubt. Junior, man, you have so much success ahead of you. I love you, son,” Kizzy said on Thursday, Feb. 5.


After attending the event, the Atlanta Falcons rookie flew from San Francisco to Miami, where he stalked and assaulted WNBA star Rickea Jackson, 24.

As Rickea frantically drove to a police station in Miami on Saturday, James pursued her and rammed her car with his Lamborghini. He then led police on a brief chase that ended in a crash at NW 103rd Avenue and 66th Street.

James, 22, is charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon (his car), along with aggravated stalking and eluding law enforcement.

He remains at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center awaiting a bond hearing.

The Falcons issued a statement on Saturday, saying, “We are aware of an incident involving James Pearce Jr., in Miami. We are in the process of gathering more information and will not have any further comment on an open legal matter at this time.”

Rickea was not injured in the pursuit. The 6-2 Los Angeles Sparks star is in Miami playing for the Breeze BC of the Unrivaled 3×3 women’s basketball league during the off-season.

Rapper Cardi B showed love to sports reporter Janerika Owens ahead of Super Bowl 60 in the Bay Area on Sunday.

“She’s even prettier in person,” Cardi said, as they hugged and posed for the camera.

“She is gorgeous!” Cardi continued. “She’s so short and beautiful.”

“No, look at her!” Janerika said while pointing at Cardi.

Cardi B’s boyfriend, Stefon Diggs, hopes to win his first Super Bowl ring when the New England Patriots take on the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl this evening.

Janerika makes a habit of drawing attention to herself by wearing wildly inappropriate outfits on the job.

However, on Sunday, she dressed modestly in a maroon leather pantsuit at a pre-Super Bowl event.

Cardi B also dressed conservatively in a black and yellow bodysuit. Neither of them showed any skin – which surprised their fans.

Janerika, 25, went viral last week when she showed up at the Seahawks media day dressed like an escort. She wore a shorts set with no bra and slingback heels.

A Fox News reporter who asked for anonymity said the company doesn’t enforce the dress code because doing so may result in legal action or accusations of racial discrimination.

Ex-NFL linebacker Darron Lee has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of his girlfriend in Tennessee.

Lee, 31, was taken into custody Thursday at a residence on the 7500 block of Snow Cone Way in Ooltewah, Tennessee, near Chattanooga.

He was also charged with evidence tampering.

Deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the residence in response to a report of a CPR in progress.

Life-saving measures were unsuccessful, and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her name and age were not released by the sheriff’s office pending notification of next of kin. Her manner of death was also withheld.

Lee is being held at the Hamilton County jail, according to inmate records. He was charged with assault and domestic violence in 2023.

He allegedly pushed a woman “against the wall, throwing her to the floor and striking her face and head 8 to 9 times with his closed fists,” according to Tennessee’s News 9.

Lee was the New York Jets’ first-round draft pick in 2016.

He previously played for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. The standout at Ohio State was named defensive MVP of the 2015 Sugar Bowl.

Cook County Crime Stoppers announced a $10,000 reward after 26-year-old hairstylist Gabryel Ayres was shot in her car in Chicago’s Gresham neighborhood on February 4.

After the initial shooting, Ayres’ white Chevy sedan crashed into a brown van. Three masked gunmen then approached the car on foot and opened fire.

The gunmen returned to the getaway vehicle, a red Alfa Romeo. The driver pulled up to Ayres’s car so the gunmen could fire more shots into the vehicle. The getaway car was later found torched and abandoned.

Ayres was pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds at OSF Little Company of Mary hospital.

Ayres’s boyfriend, 27, was wounded in the arm and buttocks and is in stable condition. The victim’s infant daughter was unharmed in the back seat.

The driver of the brown van declined medical treatment, ABC 7 News reported.

Police believe Ayres was the gunmen’s intended target. The motive for the shooting is unknown.

Ayres’ godfather, Pastor Kirk Bell, confirmed her infant daughter, who is less than a year old, was in the back seat.

“You know, there’s a baby in the car. These animals have no value on life. This is nothing to them. They need to clean this city up. There’s gangs, and there’s shooting and the killing. It’s just unbelievable,” Bell said.

Cook County Crime Stoppers offered a $10,000 reward leading to the capture of the assailants.

“This is yet another senseless and cowardly act of violence,” said Paul Rutherford, Executive Director of Cook County Crime Stoppers.

“The fact that this shooting occurred in the daytime hours and while a mother was inside a car with a child is absolutely outrageous. No family should ever have to experience this level of brutality. We need the public’s help to identify those responsible and hold them accountable,” he said.

Rumors spread that Jay-Z and fellow rapper Pusha T were named in the Epstein files. But Jay-Z sent cease and desist takedown notices to blogs including The Shade Room, who quickly took down their post.

According to reports, Jay-Z is not mentioned in the Epstein files at all.

But that didn’t stop 50 Cent from hinting at a documentary exposing Jay-Z.

“Damn they got ya man jay in the Epstein files, I gotta do a doc on this sh!t !” 50 Cent wrote on Instagram, alongside AI-generated imagery of Jay-Z.

In another post, 50 Cent claimed Jay-Z’s lyrics on Pharrell Williams’ 2006 song “Young Girl” proves he is into minors.

Fiddy wrote: “I know your gonna say I’m a hater, but what do you say about what he’s saying fool? LOL get yo ass down [sic].”

50 Cent included a snippet from the song in his post. However, Instagram has blocked searches for the track on the platform.

According to a manosphere board, Jay-Z asked Instagram to copyright strike posts featuring “Young Girl” on the platform.

She said there was some “confusion” among fans about her and Van’s relationship status after they dated for 6 years.

The confusion stems from an interview Van gave in 2025.

Jonathan Smith, aka Lil Jon, confirmed his son’s body was pulled from a pond in Mayfield Park in Milton, Ga. on Friday, Feb. 6.

A large police presence was observed at the park and divers were seen in the water before the body was recovered around 11 a.m. Friday.

“The individual is believed to be Nathan Smith,” a police spokesperson said, referring to Lil Jon’s only son.

“Based on the investigation to date, there is no indication of foul play,” police said. “No further details will be released until the official cause and manner of death are determined by the Fulton County Medical Examiner and all investigative leads have been thoroughly examined.”

Lil Jon issued a statement to USA TODAY, saying he and Nathan’s mother, Nicole Smith, are “extremely heartbroken” and devastated.

“Nathan was the kindest human being you would ever meet. He was immensely caring, thoughtful, polite, passionate, and warmhearted – he loved his family and the friends in his life to the fullest,” Jon said in the statement. “He was an amazingly talented young man; a music producer, an artist and engineer, and graduate of NYU.”

The statement continued:

“We loved Nathan with all of our hearts and are incredibly proud of him. He was loved and appreciated, and in our last times together we’re comforted in knowing that we expressed that very sentiment to him. Thank you for all of the prayers and support in trying to locate him over the last several days.”

Authorities said Nathan, 27, was naked when he fled his home around 6 a.m. on February 3.

Police said Nathan was “disoriented” and he may be in urgent need of psychiatric help.
