Oscar winner Halle Berry announced she’s engaged to longtime boyfriend Van Hunt. She shared the happy news Thursday on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
Halle said there’s been some confusion about her response to her boyfriend of 6 years asking her to marry him, TMZ reported.
She said “yes,” but they didn’t pick a date for the nuptials. The marriage will be Halle’s fourth.

She was previously married to David Justice (1993-1997), Eric Benet (2001-2005), and Olivier Martinez (2013-2016). Halle told TODAY.com in 2025 that Van had been married once before. But he has never spoken publicly about his prior marriage.
In September 2020, Halle and Van first stepped out as a couple, and have been going strong ever since.
President Trump’s Truth Social app shared a controversial video of former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama.
Trump unknowingly shared the shocking video on his Truth Social app on Thursday, Feb. 5. It is unclear if the president posted the video himself or if someone else posted it.
The video clip was appended to the end of another video discussing a suspicious spike in votes for former President Joe Biden after the vote count stopped in 2020.
Trump lost to Biden, but he argued that the race was stolen from him during the night.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed the clip in a statement to TMZ, saying, “This is from an internet meme video depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from the Lion King. Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public.”
California Governor Gavin Newsom called the video “disgusting” and urged all Republicans to condemn it.
FYI: The video below contains a scene that may be disturbing to viewers.
It’s pretty clear that the Obama Monkey video was a seperate reel that was auto played at the end of an election fraud video Trump shared.

TMZ posted the video following another incident involving Holcomb and Anton Daniels during the Jan. 13 episode of the 5150 show.
Tensions flared when Holcomb challenged Daniels to a fight during a verbal altercation.
The two incidents together portrayed Holcomb as a troublemaker and woman abuser. Social media users roasted him for attacking a female.
During the Feb. 4 episode of 5150, Holcomb complained that he can’t book comedy shows because TMZ ruined his life.
Sponsors are also distancing themselves from the problematic radio host.
“You know, I haven’t been working a lot of my gigs. I lost a lot of my gigs. So, by the way, thank you TMZ. I lost another gig today,” he said.
“I’m about to be out here on welfare. Somebody got to explain why I ain’t got nothing no more.”
Holcomb, 56, accused TMZ founder and lawyer Harvey Levin of ruining the lives of Black men in California.
He added: “And a life I’ve been building 30 some years was destroyed because everybody think TMZ is square business. They not square business, homie. That was ran by this lady named Shawn Holley and Harvey Levin. It’s so many brothers in jail right now because of that tag team. And they was trying to get me by pushing the narrative of a gun. And it’s so many people out there. Ain’t nobody see me with no gun.”
So far, TMZ has not commented on Holcomb’s allegations.
Christopher “Kid” Reid, one half of the Hip-Hop duo Kid ‘n Play, underwent a heart transplant last summer after he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure.
Reid opened up about his life-saving surgery during an interview with Michael Strahan on “Good Morning America” on Thursday.
Reid said he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure after experiencing fatigue, shortness of breath, excessive sleepiness and water retention in his body.
“Over the last year or so, [I] maybe just starting feeling more fatigued than before, shortness of breath, sleeping more than normal,” said Reid. “I think sometimes you chalk it up to, ‘I’m getting older, the road is harsh, doing the old kick step.'”

The 61-year-old comedian is pictured performing in Pasadena on April 9, 2025, shortly before his heart transplant surgery.
Reid’s signs and symptoms soon intensified. He went to the emergency room at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, where a doctor diagnosed him with congestive heart failure. His doctor put him on heart medications, including a diuretic to help his body eliminate excess fluid.
But at his follow-up appointment 3 weeks later, his cardiologist, Dr. Erika Jones, noticed he was still retaining water.
“He came in very swollen again and that is a little unusual in somebody who’s been started on treatment, for the swelling to come back that quickly,” Jones told “GMA.”
Dr. Jones said Reid’s blood work showed his heart and other organs were failing.
“The blood work confirmed my suspicion,” she continued. “It showed that his heart was failing and it was starting to affect his other organs.”
Reid’s cardiac surgeon told him that a heart transplant was his only option and placed him on a transplant waiting list.
“When we think about status for heart transplant, he was high on the list because of how ill he was and really kind of dealing with a life-or-death situation,” his surgeon, Dr. Laura DiChiacchio, said.
Within nine days, doctors found a heart for Reid and they prepared him for surgery.
“They’re saying, ‘Yeah, we got the heart and we want to put it in tomorrow night at 10 p.m.,'” Reid recalled. “We are like, ‘Excuse me?’ But that’s how it is. So the next night, 10 p.m., we go in and about seven hours later, I have a new heart.”

Reid, pictured with Christopher “Play” Martin, said he hopes his experience will inspire other men with symptoms to get evaluated for heart disease.
“A lot of people are walking around with heart disease because they don’t go to the doctor,” said Reid. “And you know, traditionally, people of color, we don’t go. We don’t go for a lot of reasons. Sometimes we don’t go because we don’t have insurance. A lot of times we don’t go because we don’t want the bad news or we too busy just hustling trying to make it from day to day and we feel we don’t got time or we’ll get over it. Well, you might not. So I’m urging all of my fans, all of your loved ones to get checked out.”
NFL reporter Janerika Owens showed up for the Seattle Seahawks media day wearing a shorts set with no bra and slingback heels.
This isn’t the first time Janerika has made a spectacle of herself while on the job. The 25-year-old journalist is known for drawing attention to herself wearing inappropriate outfits.

A California man was arrested early Thursday and charged with sending a fake ransom demand to Nancy Guthrie’s family.
Derrick Callella was taken into custody by the Federal Bureau of Investigations after he texted Nancy’s daughter, Annie, and her husband, Tommaso Cioni, and demanded Bitcoin.
Callella told the FBI he texted the family to see if they would respond.
“My next message is to those impostors who are trying to take advantage and profit from this situation,” said Heith Janke, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Phoenix division. “We will investigate and ensure you are held accountable for your actions. We have made one arrest related to an impostor ransom demand, and a complaint will be presented to a magistrate judge later today.”
