The Pima County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona issued a missing person’s alert for Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie.
Savannah skipped Monday’s TODAY show as the search continues for her mother. Volunteers from the Search and Rescue Association are assisting deputies.
Nancy was last seen at her home in Catalina Foothills, near Tucson, on Saturday, January 31. Homicide detectives are investigating.
Deputies don’t know what she was wearing when she went missing around 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
Sheriff Chris Nanos said investigators found “disturbing signs” at her home and she did not leave home on her own. Nanos said she is not in good physical health.
“This is very concerning to us. We don’t typically get the sheriff out at a scene like this. But it’s very concerning what we’re learning from the house,” Nanos told reporters. “And so we’ll just continue. The detective’s homicide team is out right now looking at the scene as well.”
“We’ve pretty much thrown everything at this as we can,” he added. In a follow-up presser on Monday morning, Nanos said, “we do in fact have a crime… It is a crime scene, we know that.”

The sheriff said Nancy needs her daily medication, and he urged anyone who sees her to “take a quick picture.”
The family said Nancy did not show signs of dementia.

Snoop Dogg issued a statement following the death of his 11-month-old granddaughter Codi Dreaux on January 26.
Codi was born 6 months prematurely in February 2025. The miracle baby spent most of her life in a neonatal intensive care unit before being discharged home in December.
On Saturday, Jan. 31, the rapper’s 26-year-old daughter Cori announced Codi’s tragic passing.
“Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories. She shared a black & white photo of herself holding her baby.
Instagram
Shortly after the announcement, Snoop took to Instagram to share his support. He posted a photo of himself with Cori and his sons, Corde, 31, and Cordell, 28. He captioned the photo with a heart emoji and praying hands emoji.
Instagram
In December 2024, Cori announced she was expecting her first baby with fiancé, Wayne Deuce. In February 2025, she revealed their daughter had been born prematurely.
“The princess arrived at 6 months,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself because I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what, God always shows me that He got me! Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s the best!! Thank You God for getting me this.”
In September, she wrote: “Becoming a NICU mom was not part of the plan, but it became part of my story. September is NICU Awareness Month, and I carry my little warrior’s strength with me every day.”
Baby Codi spent 10 months in Neonatal ICU. In December, Cori shared the news that baby Codi was discharged home.
“She’s home,” Cori wrote on Instagram. “Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all.”
Codi died a month later in January.
Cori and Wayne got engaged in November 2022. They had planned to get married in 2024. But their plans were delayed when she suffered a stroke and ended up in ICU in 2024.
“I know he’s the one,” Snoop said of Wayne during an appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”
“As a father, you know, I’m gonna speak for him because, as a father, one thing you know is when it’s your baby girl, you ain’t gonna hand her off to nobody who ain’t gonna handle her with care.”
“The Blind Side” star Quinton Aaron is recovering in the hospital after a serious fall at home, his family said.
Quinton, 41, was walking up the stairs in his apartment when he collapsed and fell.
Quinton’s wife claimed he suffered a “serious blood infection” as a result of his fall.
His wife later updated his condition, saying he was diagnosed with a spinal stroke.
A spinal stroke, also known as a spinal infarction, occurs when blood supply to the spinal cord is blocked by a blood clot, bleeding, or narrowing of the major arteries to the spinal cord.
Quinton is reportedly awake, alert, partially breathing on his own and “making significant progress.”
A GoFundMe raised over $47,000 to pay his bills – and the bills of military veterans.
Veterans Aid Network created the GoFundMe page asking for donations to help pay his bills and the bills of military veterans.
Rumors spread online saying the GoFundMe page is a fraud, since Quinton is not a military veteran.
The GoFundMe page is authentic, according to Quinton’s wife. She reached out to the Veterans Aid Network to create the GoFundMe page rather than create one herself.
She threatened to sue anyone spreading lies about her and Quinton. “There will be legal repercussions,” she allegedly said in a statement.
“We kindly ask the public to please respect the decisions we make and to please understand that false information or statements may be made by others who continue to come forward but are not fully informed or aware of all of the facts surrounding his condition nor are they authorized to do so.”
Quinton is best known for his portrayal of ex-NFL player Michael Oher in the 2009 film “The Blind Side,” also starring Sandra Bullock. They have not stayed in touch since the film.

First lady Melania Trump’s self-titled documentary is set to rake in $9 million – the best in box office sales for a documentary in a decade.
Amazon shelled out $40 million for the documentary and marketing to ensure “Melania” was a major theatrical success.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, no one expected box office success for a documentary film about the first lady.

“No one saw that coming, with many suggesting Melania was a bomb before it even opened based on empty, or nearly empty, seat maps in cinemas across the country,” The Hollywood Reporter noted.
“The pic is galvanizing conservatives in the South and South-central part of the country, and specifically older females over the age of 55, who made up 72 percent of the opening-day audience. And a stunning 78 percent of all ticket buyers were 55 and older.”
“It’s very rare that documentaries get released in theaters.”
Thompson / AdMedia / MediaPunch
Director Brett Ratner told Breitbart News that he gives the first lady “all the credit” for the movie’s extremely successful box office performance.
“I have to give all the credit to Melania because this was something that she came up with, even, obviously, before she met me,” he said. “The fact that she had hired a feature director like myself to do a documentary was very surprising… But she said to me from day one, I want this to be very cinematic. I want it to have a theatrical release. I want it to live and play in theaters.”
Ratner was skeptical since documentaries aren’t released to movie theaters.
“It’s very rare that documentaries get released in theaters. It’s usually straight to streaming, and even before they were streaming, documentaries were not in movie theaters – very, very rarely. So it was really her vision to have that and to see it through.”
Ratner also attributed the movie’s box office success to conservative women who showed up in theaters in force.
“I think, as planned, we designed this movie to really live and breathe inside a movie theater. You could watch it on streaming down the road, but I think the audience felt that too, and that’s why they showed up. They showed up for the theaters, but from the material, from the campaign, the trailers, you realize, ‘Wow, this is a big screen production. This isn’t just a kind of episodic documentary.'”
“Melania” received a 99% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, while receiving a lower critics score of 11%.
Melania and President Donald Trump joined 250 guests at Thursday night’s world premiere in Washington D.C.
Melania will only play exclusively in theaters for 2 weekends before heading to streaming.
Retired NFL star Vernon Davis is accused of throwing books at a pregnant woman during an argument over an abortion at his home last May.
According to a criminal complaint filed on January 8, 2026, Vernon, 42, had a “disagreement” with a woman at his home on May 31, 2025 over her pregnancy and he asked her to have an abortion.
The unnamed victim told police he “was hitting me w/ magazines + books from under his TV” and he offered her $10,000 to have an abortion.

The former 49ers tight end reportedly stopped attacking her when the woman pulled out her phone to record him.
The woman said another argument broke out on June 7, 2025 when she accused Vernon of lying to her. She claims he slapped her in the face and told her “not to question him.”
She later recorded him saying, “If I really slapped you, your face would be” black and blue.
In her complaint, the woman said Vernon attacked her and caused visible bruises, according to TMZ.
A warrant for Vernon’s arrest was issued on Jan. 8 for assault and battery. He has a court date scheduled in February.
Vernon won a Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos. He most recently played for the Washington Commanders in 2019 before retiring in 2020.
He has three children with his ex-wife Janel Horne. They were married for 16 years.

Janel was there when the San Francisco 49ers drafted Vernon in 2006.
In a now-deleted 2016 Instagram post, Janel accused Vernon of cheating on her with a 20-year-old woman.
“When you give a man your all, 15yrs, 3kids, and you sacrifice your life and then he cheats on you with a 20yr old child and lies on you @vernondavis85,” Janel wrote, with a split image of Vernon and the woman.

In 2018, Vernon proposed to girlfriend Kayla Sortor. They are pictured together at an event in Atlanta in 2019.
Vernon booked 4 skydivers and a plane in Ocean City, Maryland. The skydivers jumped out of the plane overhead as Vernon and Kayla walked on the beach.
Each skydiver opened their suits to reveal the words “Will,” “You,” “Marry,” “Me?”
Then Vernon got down on one knee and asked Kayla for her hand in marriage.
Vernon said he didn’t know how she would react to the amazing proposal.
“I just expected her to be extremely surprised, and she was. She was happy. She just couldn’t believe it.”
Kayla said yes, but there is no public record of a marriage certificate.
