Nicki Minaj held hands with President Donald Trump and called herself his “number one fan” at a Treasury Department event promoting new $1,000 investment accounts for children on Wednesday, Jan. 28.

Trump called Nicki to the stage and kissed her on the cheek. She held his hand and urged her fans to defend him against political attacks.

While addressing the room, Nicki called herself “the president’s number one fan and that’s not going to change.”

The rap superstar said the “hate” thrown her way does not affect her at all.

“It actually motivates me to support him more, and it’s gonna motivate all of us to support him more,” she said.

“We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him and, you know, the smear campaigns, it’s not going to work.”

Nicki said the president “has a lot of force behind him, and God is protecting him. Amen.”

Nicki donated hundreds of thousands of dollars of her own money to the “Trump Accounts” of her fans’ children.

Bank of America announced it will match $1,000 of each government deposit for Trump’s savings accounts for babies born between 2025 and 2028.

The program will begin distributing funds to children next summer.

The money can be used to invest in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, which will likely be worth over $1 million per coin by the time the children reach age 18.

“One of the things I wanted to do was change the face of homelessness, and I thought I was going to do that through hair and all these things,” she told PEOPLE in 2020. “But I soon understood we needed to change the narrative of what ‘homeless’ means. Just because they’re without a home does not mean they’re without love. They are homeless, but a lot of them are not jobless. A lot of them are not kidless, phoneless or familyless. There are many levels of poverty as there are many levels of wealth.”

Sheila Raines, Shirley’s twin sister, told TMZ that the family is waiting for autopsy results, but no foul play is suspected.

TIME magazine added Shirley to its TIME100 Creators list in 2025.

MSNBC Caught Editing Alex Pretti’s Photo to “Beautify His Face”

Social media users say MSNBC edited Alex Pretti’s photo to “beautify his face.”

Pretti, 37, was fatally shot during a fracas with federal Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Saturday, January 24.

The ICU nurse was pinned down and disarmed by a federal agent who took away his handgun. Two agents then shot Pretti multiple times while he was on the ground.

Critics claim MSNBC aired a digitally altered photo of Pretti in news broadcasts to garner more sympathy from the public.

X user @TRHofficial wrote: “MSNBC gave Pretti a tan, a stronger jawline, better teeth, shorter forehead, and a nose job to make him look hotter…” She also claimed MSNBC “broadened his shoulders, thickened his neck, and gave him biceps.”

The image contains a digital watermark that shows it was generated using Google’s AI image generator tool, Gemini, according to Politifact.

The AI scandal swept the Internet, as critics pummeled MSNBC for trying to shape the public’s perception of federal agents in Minneapolis.

Pretti’s family lashed out at MSNBC‘s AI-generated image as “unacceptable manipulation” of their loved one’s memory.

The family said the digital alteration of his image “distorts the truth of who he was.”

Meanwhile, former President Barack Obama pleaded with Black Americans to “get off the sidelines” and join the anti-ICE protests in Minneapolis.

Obama tweeted on Wednesday morning: “More and more Americans are voicing their outrage at the tactics being deployed by federal agents in Minnesota. But it’s important to understand the broader implications of what this administration is doing, and the threat it poses to the basic freedoms of every American.”

Obama re-posted a link to a Black podcast that he says “does a good job of laying out what’s at stake, and why all of us need to get off the sidelines to demand change.”

ABC 13 defended Asian meteorologist Elita Loresca who appeared to disrespect Black anchor Samica Knight during a bizarre on-air exchange.

Loresca commented on Knight’s “dry legs” as the Houston-based reporters chatted while live on the air.

“I saw you walking from the desk, girl, you need some lotion on your dry legs,” Loresca said as the camera rolled. Knight replied, “No, you’re right. Uh, yeah, they’re pretty ashy this morning.”

Knight gasped as the camera began to pan down. “Are you serious? Don’t do that! Do not! They’re really bad this morning,” she said.

But Loresca urged the cameraman to show Knight’s ashy legs on the air: “Do that! Do that!”

Some ABC 13 viewers were shocked by the on-air exchange. “In what universe is this acceptable?” an Instagram user captioned the video clip.

“So is public humiliation of your employees just a normal part of your work culture or what?” another commenter wrote. The viewer called for “a very public apology” from Loresca, the cameraman and the news station.

But ABC 13 anchor Mayra Moreno defended Loresca. Moreno said she knows both women personally and this is their way of joking “on air and off air.”

Moreno said the clip was taken out of context and created a narrative that is not true. She said “Elita is not the person these people are making her out to be,” and that the situation has been “blown way out of proportion.”

Tashara Parker, a former WFAA 8 Dallas-Fort Worth morning anchor and traffic reporter, also defended Loresca, saying she has seen multiple videos of Loresca and Knight “cutting up” together on the air and off the air.

Loresca and Knight have not commented publicly on the controversy.

Question: Should ABC 13 fire the meteorologist for her unprofessional comment on the air?

Ray J says he only has “months” to live after he was hospitalized with a severe case of pneumonia last week.

“2027 is definitely a wrap for me,” the singer/actor said in a video clip on Sunday, January 25.

Ray J, born William Ray Norwood Jr, claims a doctor told him his heart’s ability to pump blood was 25%, meaning he is in heart failure.

The 45-year-old streamer rested his head in his hands as a friend told him not to “say that” and “f-k the doctor.”

“My heart is only beating like 25 percent, but as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, then everything will be all right, so thank you for all your prayers,” he said in the video.

A source told TMZ on Jan. 7 that the “Love & Hip Hop” alum was admitted to a hospital with a severe case of pneumonia after experiencing “heart pains.”

The reality TV star attributed his heart failure to excessive drinking and drug use.

Symptoms of Heart Failure

Symptoms of heart failure include chest pain or pressure, shortness of breath, fatigue (weakness), swelling in legs and ankles, difficulty sleeping, waking up coughing, irregular heartbeat.

The heart’s functional capacity is measured by the percentage of blood that pumps with each heart contraction.

Ray J claims his heart only pumps 25% of blood with each contraction. But his doctor discharged him from the hospital.

People with 25% heart function can recover with proper medical care, rest and lifestyle changes.

Ray J shares two children – Melody and Epik – with his estranged wife Princess Love. She filed for divorce for the fourth time in 2024.

The “One Wish” singer said his children will be fine when he’s gone because he provided for them financially.

But Ray J also claimed his sister Brandy paid his bills “for the rest of the year.”

A man was arrested after he sprayed Democratic U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar with an unknown substance at a town hall in Minnesota on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

The incident happened in Minneapolis, about 25 minutes after Omar began her speech calling for the abolishment of ICE and for Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to resign.

“ICE cannot be reformed,” Omar said, seconds before the man sitting in the front row rushed forward and sprayed a foul-smelling substance from a syringe.

Omar took several steps toward the man as he was tackled to the floor by security.

The watery substance also landed on Minneapolis Council Member LaTrisha Vetaw and state Sen. Bobby Joe Champion.

The substance had a strong odor like vinegar, according to an Associated Press reporter who was there.

Minneapolis police arrested the man, later identified as 55-year-old Anthony Kazmierczak.

Social media users believe the incident was “staged.”

Omar continued speaking for about 25 more minutes, saying she would not be intimidated. The Congresswoman later said she is OK and “a survivor.”

Some social media users say the incident was “staged” or “fake news.” Omar trended on X (Twitter) late Tuesday under the hashtag #Fakenews.

“Something about this doesn’t add up,” said conservative comedian Terrence J. Williams in a video uploaded to X on Tuesday.

“If someone randomly sprayed me with a substance, I’d be running to the nearest bathroom to wash my eyes and skin — or straight to the hospital,” he added.

Omar is a U.S. citizen who fled Somalia with her family at age 8 to escape a civil war.

Omar’s husband, Tim Mynett, owns a winery called eStCru that exploded in value from $1,000 to over $5 million in just one year.

President Trump questioned Omar’s net worth after she disclosed her husband’s companies in a financial report, filed in May 2025.

The winery’s existence conflicts with Omar’s Islamic beliefs, since the production and sale of alcohol is prohibited in Islam.

Djimon Hounsou‘s baby mama, Ri’Za Marie Simpson doesn’t have to move out of Djimon’s home with their 2 children.

Last week, Ri’Za was arrested for punching the actor in his face during an eviction proceeding.

The “Gladiator” star, 61, told cops she punched him in the face in December after he told her to vacate his Atlanta townhouse.

This week a judge granted Ri’Za a temporary restraining order, pausing the “illegal eviction” and giving her access to the townhouse.

Ri’Za and Djimon share son Fela and another child. They are pictured with Djimon’s son, Kenzo Hounsou (right) from a previous relationship with Kimora Lee.

In court documents, obtained by TMZ, Ri’za says she was wrongfully arrested and has suffered financial abuse and an attempted illegal eviction.

Ri’za also claims Djimon slammed a vehicle door on her left side, screamed in her face and called her names during an incident in December. During a separate incident in October, Ri’Za claims Djimon yelled in her face in front of their children during their heated exchange.

She asked the judge to grant a restraining order, which prevents Djimon from having any contact with Ri’za or their children.

He is ordered to stay 200 yards from his family until a hearing in early February.

Endometrial (uterine) cancer rising among older Black women

Endometrial cancer is on the rise among older Black women – and doctors don’t know why.

“Endometrial cancer is on the rise,” says Dr. Jason Conger, a gynecologic urologist at Fox Chase Cancer Center.

Dr. Conger says endometrial cancer, a type of uterine cancer, is now the most common cancer of the female reproductive system.

The cancer arises out of the endometrium, the mucous membrane that lines the inside of the uterus.

Signs and Symptoms of Endometrial Cancer

Signs and symptoms of endometrial cancer includes pelvic pain, vaginal bleeding or spotting after menopause, abnormal discharge after menopause, urinary frequency, difficulty urinating, fatigue (excessive weakness).

There is no specific screening test for endometrial cancer yet. Tests for cervical cancer may sometimes detect endometrial cancer cells.

“We just haven’t found the right tool yet to screen for it,” Dr. Conger explains.

Dr. Conger says endometrial cancer is more common in women after menopause. The female hormone estrogen is among the risk factors.

Another risk factor is obesity, which also increases the risk for heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes.

Obesity rates are highest among Black women in the U.S.

“Obesity is certainly a very common risk factor. And that’s because, after menopause, those fat cells continue to manufacture estrogen,” Dr. Conger says.

Estrogen-only hormone replacement therapy (without progesterone) is another risk factor.

Black and Hispanic women are most at risk, and are more likely to develop aggressive tumors in the uterus.

Dr. Conger urges older women to get annual pelvic exams.

A mother was arrested after her toddler fell out of a moving SUV and landed in the roadway in Southern California.

Shocking video shows a black SUV driving in Fullerton, California on January 20. The front passenger door opened and a baby is seen falling onto the roadway. The SUV stopped and nearly caused a rear end collision with a car behind it.

A woman is seen getting out of the driver’s side of the SUV and picking up the child before driving away.

Police wrote on Facebook:

“As the vehicle enters the intersection and completes the turn, the front passenger door opens and. The SUV immediately stops, nearly causing a traffic collision with the vehicle behind it. An adult female is then seen running from the driver’s side of the SUV, picking up the child, and returning to the vehicle before the video ends.”

On January 24, a witness came forward and turned over the video to police.

Police located the SUV in the City of La Habra, and Jacqueline Marie Hernandez, 35, was taken into custody on suspicion of child abuse. The toddler was not secured in a baby car seat as required by law.

Police said the 19-month-old child was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries consistent with the fall.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact Fullerton police at 714-738-6782.
