Long-suffering wives connected with Lemonade on an emotional level because they felt Beyonce's pain.

Lemonade sold 650,000 copies in its first week in 2016. Renaissance is expected to sell about half of that in its first week.

The writing was on the wall when Renaissance leaked last Tuesday. Hardly anyone downloaded it.

Beyonce's team thanked her fans for not downloading the leaked album, but that was just wishful thinking.

On Renaissance, Beyonce, who is married to Jay Z, sings about bedding women. And she angered the cancel culture crowd by using the words "spazz" and "spazzing out" on her song "Heated." The word is considered "ableist" and insulting to the disabled.

"Frankly it's just stupid, coarse, and mean. Who would sing such a thing? A 10 year old?" said Roger Friedman, of Showbiz 411.

Beyonce's full album, Renaissance has leaked in Europe - 2 days before the official release date.

Renaissance CDs are already being sold in music shops in France.

Twitter users posted photos of the CDs being sold in France and The Netherlands.

Bey's record label is sending cease & desists and take down notices to blogs. The songs are scrubbed from YouTube as quickly as they are uploaded.

The "Break My Soul" singer had hoped her album wouldn't leak before the midnight release date on Friday.

Beyonce's camp is upset over the leak and the fact that bootleg CDs are being sold without their authorization.

"Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world," she said in a lengthy statement on her Instagram account. "It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving."

The response to Beyonce's first single, "Break My Soul" was lukewarm when it dropped in the US on June 20.

Renaissance includes 16 tracks featuring collaborations with Grace Jones, Drake and Nile Rodgers.

As promised, Drake delivered his new album, Certified Lover Boy, without much fanfare or bizarre stunts.

The 34-year-old rapper dropped his first full length release since Scorpion in 2018 - on Friday - almost a year late due to the pandemic.

Standout collabs on the album include rappers Jay Z and mumble rapper Travis Scott.

CLB also includes features with Giveon, Lil Durk, Kid Cudi, Future, Yebba, Young Thug, Lil Baby and 21 Savage.

On "Fair Trade," Drake and Travis seek loyalty from women in their lives and they don't mind losing friends to achieve loyalty.

"I don't know who love me, but I know that it ain't everybody
I can never love her, she a busy body
Baby, if you want me, can't be turnin' up with everybody, nah

Can't be f*ckin' on just anybody, yeah
I got feelings for you, that's the thing about it, yeah
You know that it's somethin' when I sing about it, yeah."

In a post on his Instagram Stories, the rapper described his sixth album as, "A combination of toxic masculinity and acceptance of truth which is inevitably heartbreaking." He also dedicated the album to late Instagram models Nadia Ntuli and Mercedes Morr who both died this year.

Ahead of the release of the record, Drake's mom Sandi Graham sent him sweet and encouraging notes.

Her message on Tuesday, Aug, 31, reads:

"To: Lover Boy Three days more we're counting down, for us to hear the best. Everyone's excited, cause you're nothing like the rest. Three more days my pookaroo I couldn't be more proud of you! Loving mom."

Lil Nas X posed for a photo shoot in PEOPLE magazine with a gut full of his debut album, Montero.

LNX strapped on a prosthetic belly to celebrate the impending delivery of his "baby" on Sept. 17.

He tells PEOPLE exclusively that he decided to do the shoot after YouTuber James Charles pretended to be pregnant after listening to Megan Thee Stallion's verse on his new song "Dolla Sign Slime" for the first time.

"I was like, 'Oh my God, this is amazing,' so I immediately called my stylist," LNX claims.

"She was like, 'Wow, this all comes together. Your album. Your baby.' I was like, 'Yeah, this is my baby, huh?' As a joke, she was like, 'Yeah, you should do a pregnancy shoot.'

"I was like, 'You know what? That's actually brilliant.' So now we have this entire thing coming out, and it's going to be amazing."

Earlier this week, LNX trolled Drake by sharing an album cover of pregnant men emojis. Drake's Certified Lover Boy album, featuring pregnant female emojis on the cover, drops Friday.

"I was like, 'There's no way the universe is lining up this perfect for this to happen," LNX laughed.

beyonce lemonade

According to Hits Daily Double, Beyonce's new album, Lemonade is expected to sell just 500K copies in its 1st week.

Beyonce released Lemonade on her husband Jay Z's Tidal music streaming service on Saturday night after the premiere of Lemonade: the movie on HBO. This helps explain her low first week numbers. Lemonade is now available on iTunes.
