Last week, Saweetie released a brand-new single entitled "Icy Chain" and slayed her debut performance of it on SNL. People magazine said "Saweetie rocked the Saturday Night Live stage," and Pop Sugar called her performance "electric!"

"Icy Chain" has received widespread critical acclaim. Right out of the gate, Vulture raved, "The extremely twerkable track relies on Saweetie being in the fro-zone – rapping for most of the just-under-two-minute song," and went on to add, "Only Mariah Carey is more on-brand this time of year."

Meanwhile, The FADER noted, "On 'Icy Chain,' she raps confidently." Watch the SNL performance HERE and listen to "Icy Chain" HERE She also recently contributed "Get It Girl" to Insecure: Music From The HBO Original Series Season 5. The curvaceous rapper (pictured far right) says all people are "equal" and calls for more to be done to stop the spread of hate toward LGBT+ people.

Speaking about her LGBTQ fans, Saweetie tells PEOPLE:

"I think that it's important that we all respect each other. We all bleed the same. We're all human beings. I was raised in a household that believes in respecting everyone, no matter who they are, no matter what they do, because at the end of the day, we're all equal.

"We all need to call out what we're uncomfortable with. We need to call out what we stand for and for what we believe is right."

The rapper's growing popularity landed her a corporate sponsorship and her own Saweetie Meal from McDonald's.

Saweetie's comments come after DaBaby deleted his apology that his publicist wrote to the LGBT+ community on his Instagram page.

The post read:

"I want to apologize to the LGBTQ+ community for the hurtful and triggering comments I made. Again, I apologize for my misinformed comments about HIV/AIDS and I knew education on this is important. Love to all. God bless."

The rapper was widely criticized for his original comments about HIV and AIDS. He has lost millions in endorsements and summer festival bookings.

DaBaby said on stage:

"If you didn't show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually-transmitted diseases, that'll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cell phone lighter up...

"Fellas, if you ain't sucking d**k in the parking lot, put your cell phone lighter up."

Saweetie, who was born after the Freaknik glory days, was accompanied by her two aunties who provided consulting services about twerking on top of cars down Peachtree Street.

The "Icy Girl" rapper wore bejeweled "Benjamins" rollers in a loose bun atop her head, similar to the style worn by Atlanta freaks and out-of-towners during the original Freaknik street party in Georgia. Freaknik was banned in the 1990s by the Atlanta mayor for tying up traffic on Peachtree and disrupting at least one wedding downtown.

The hip-hop star completed her look with icy diamond pendants and iced out loop earrings, and a white Louis Vuitton handbag.

Sources say Karrueche, pictured with a friend, was polite but didn't speak to the bad boy of hip-hop. The 33-year-old Blasian dumped Chris after five long years when she learned he fathered a baby with one of her friends in 2015. She moved on with retired NFL star Victor Cruz, 34. According to report, Saweetie recently received the gift from the promiscuous NBA baller to go out with him.

"When you are a young woman in L.A., sometimes you're put in situations that can help you financially but will take a jab at your soul, your body. I remember basically just having the opportunity to get some money, but in doing so I would have violated my morals and my values. I was broke but I was like, I will never do anything to disrespect myself... no matter how desperate I get."

Harden denied sending the cash after rapper 50 Cent repeated the rumor on social media.

"People really on here just making sh*t up for clout. I really stay out the way. Cashapp 100K? Beat it."

The rapper reportedly rejected the promiscuous NBA superstar's generous offer of $100K for a date.

She told Teen Vogue: "That's a story within itself, but I think it was a moment where I was like, 'It's OK. You'll eventually get what you want out of life as long as you're praying and working hard.'"

Saweetie, 27, recently split from Migos star Quavo, 29, earlier this year after an embarrassing viral video showed her fighting with the promiscuous rapper in an elevator.

Now she's put her love life on the shelf to focus on her music and improving herself for a real man.

Saweetie said she is optimistic about the future after settling into a new home -- by herself.

"I just got a new place. I feel refreshed. I feel like it’s a new chapter. I just want to be a good person and help people while being a pretty a** b**ch," she said.
