Mayor Eric Adams says he and a committee voted to revoke Combs's key to New York City. He added that this will be the first time the City has revoked a key to the city.
In a come-to-Jesus moment on Sunday, Combs shared a video apology on his Instagram page. In the video, the father-of-7 took responsibility for his actions.
"I was disgusted then when I did it and I'm disgusted now," Sean Combs explained. "I went and I sought out professional help, started going to therapy and rehab.
The incident happened at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City on March 5, 2016. California's statute of limitations on simple assault is one year.
