I could do that when I was her age. What’s the big deal? But why is a ball girl running out on the field in the place?
According to loyal reader ThatCarmen, this video is a successful viral ad for Gatorade.
At this time the creative team from Element 79 responsible for creating the “Ball Girl,” ad and concept was not givent he green light to talk about the project. The “Ball Girl” video was shot on location during and after an actual game between the Fresno Grizzlies and Tacoma Rainiers. The footage was shot on HD and later edited to look like a Grizzlies batter had hit the ball a out past the left field foul line. The shot and catch was completely choreographed with the ball girl played by stuntwoman Phoenix Brown having marks to hit, and the ball being added later in post. The ball girl was attached to wires was pulled up the wall by 2 stuntmen off to the side.
“It was so low-tech,” Smith said of the stunt. “We had her run, and she would jump, and they just gave her a little extra oomph. It was really very, very simple.”
Whoever hacked Sohh.com’s website also helped themselves to personal info of everyone connected with the site (staff and users). That means passwords, sensitive information, emails, etc., are all floating around the Internets as I type this. Someone sent me lists of personal information culled from Sohh.com’s servers, but I quickly deleted the email. I want no parts of that.
Sohh.com is still down but hopefully they will survive this attack. We all need to eat.
A loyal reader just sent me this pic with the caption, “is it just me or does Idris Elba have the dreaded Noassatall disease?” I really can’t tell since Idris’ jeans are sagging so low. Noassatall disease is rare in black men. But what do you ladies think?

Former lovers Jennifer Lopez and Sean Combs face separate multi-million dollar lawsuits according to online reports. Jennifer Lopez was subpoenaed to appear in court to provide testimony in a $130 million lawsuit against Sean Combs and his former artist, Jamal “Shyne” Barrow. Shyne is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence for a shooting that injured two people at the now defunct New York Club in December, 1999. Combs was acquitted of all charges in the shooting.
The civil lawsuit was filed by victim Natania Reuben, who was shot in the face. Combs gave a deposition in March, and now Lopez who was dating Combs at the time will give her side of the story. A judge will decide if Combs is liable for the damages caused by his former employee.
Meanwhile, Lopez was slapped with a $5 million lawsuit by a flight attendant who said J-Lo’s dog Floyd “lunged” at her when she walked past him during a flight in 2006. According to TMZ.com, Lisa Wilson filed suit in a NY court yesterday (6/26) claiming she fell over and injured her back during the attack.
The $5 mill is to cover her mounting medical expenses following surgery due to “debilitating” back pain.
If Wesley Snipes gets his way he’ll be leaving the country for good rather than face federal time. According to WENN, the troubled actor begged a judge to return his passport so he can shoot two films outside the country.
Snipes, 45, was found guilty of tax evasion and sentenced to 3 years in prison in April. He’s currently free on appeal and is seeking the court’s permission to shoot two films in Britain and Thailand.
In court documents, Snipes’ attorney assures the judge his client won’t flee. “Were he to abscond under these circumstances, it would destroy his ability to earn a living for the rest of his life,” said attorney Daniel Meachum.
Meachum adds, “Mr.Snipes will, of course, voluntarily return after his work on this film – as he has done each time he has been granted permission by this court.” Maybe his attorney forgot that time in 2006 when Snipes failed to return from Nambia?
