Video: Black protestors hold up KKK signs at Obama rally

Black people who are tired of being ignored by the Barack Obama campaign machine, hold up KKK signs at an Obama rally in Coral Gables, which is a suburb of Miami, Florida. I guess if Sen. Barack Obama won’t go to his people, his people will go to him. Not everybody is jumping on the Obama bandwagon.

I think someone paid them to be there. I don’t know who. It could have been Jesse, McCain or even Sen. Obama himself. The things they had on the signs were totally retarded and untrue so the just didn’t strike me as the type of people who were capable of organizing anything. They made fools of themselves. I didn’t watch the video on this site, but have seen it already. Obama does tell them they can stay in there, hold their signs and represent their – ahem – “cause” – as long as they let him talk.

They did not and he had them escorted outta there, as he should have.

I don’t know why SOME folks feel Barack should only pay attention to blacks – he is not running for president of the Black US – he’s for us ALL.

I guess they’ll be going to vote for McCain – then they’ll REALLY have to worry about being represented. SMDH

WHAT THE F**K IS A BLACK ISSUE?

Everything Obama’s is working for healthcare, taxes, gas, education etc, is everybody’s issue.

And secondly of all black people’s issues aren’t political but social,

-No/low education
-Unplanned parenthood
-Lack of black fathers

These are the main issues that keep us down and tear our black communities apart and keep us in poverty, hell if you’re a high school drop out with a house full of children and a criminal record you will always be poor no matter who the president is..It’s funny they talk about Obama not addressing black issues but when he spoke about absent black fathers on father’s day dumb nigga’s were the first to get mad and say “he’s talking down to black people”..They want him to adrress black issues but the minute he starts telling them the truth about our downfall they’ll get mad and acuse him of not being black enough..Half of these mofo’s complaining probably aren’t even registared to vote..

But I’m glad these stupid asses keep doing shyt like that because all that does is show America that Obama’s is for everybody not just black America.

Is this really true? I didnt see it on CNN when it aired. Our people will continue to stay divided. As one of the previous entries above stated, its not about the Black United States its the United States of America. Its not about him getting in the White House for Blacks only. It will be the total opposite when he gets in there. He will be for all of us not just the Blacks.

I had to come back and thank Ladilovely posting the comment about the kkk. How stupid, How ignorant. I am sure the KKK is laughing and applauding them for holding those signs up at the rally. Why would you support or even have anything to do with the KKK considering what they stand for.

being from the south , we learn at an early age that not all the black folks were glad to leave the plantation.

I tell ya. Out of the U.S. population blacks make up a merely 14%. Just because Obama is black does that mean he has to support blacks only? He runs for US President which means he has to represent ALL americans even those racist ones. I really don’t care that he is black because anybody that can change this country got my vote. It’s ok. Let them heckle. All I ask ,as I always ask. With all the criticisms how are you going to contribute to making change happen? Because I notice it’s one thing I’ve realized more and more, people like Sandra, are quick to criticize but still are not proactive in anything. Just a lot of talk with a lot of nothing behind it. Like I said before, it’s not Obama’s job to take on the issues of the black community by himself. We, who are voting for him, have a responsibility to make sure he is proactive in his commitment to us. But we must be proactive in our commitment to him. Put the pressure on our local officials, State reps., community organizers, etc. to make sure they are representing us as well. WE have our obligations to meet as well. So when we get him in office the fight is not over but the fight is just beginning. So, I love you sista Sandra, but a blog alone is not community contribution. Vote ’08 (preferably for Obama, but just get out and vote.)

BLACK OR WHITE, WILL HE CARE?

We’re closer than ever before to electing the first black president of the United States, yet as a 54-year-old black woman, I don’t feel the enthusiasm, the fire or the passion for this unprecedented election. Why? Because Alonzo Robinson, a 13-year-old black boy from Alabama in Washington to visit relatives, was killed recently [Metro, July 21] by random gunfire on the streets of this very city, the most important city in the world.

Perhaps the next president, black or white, will take a good, long look out of one of the White House windows and see the real Washington, D.C., once dubbed the “Murder Capital of the World.” Perhaps he’ll see what George W. Bush failed to see: beautiful, innocent Chelsea Cromartie, 8, killed by a stray bullet while playing with her dolls in her aunt’s living room; grandmothers Dorine Fostion, 47, Grace Edwards, 76, and Helen Foster-El, 55, all killed by gunfire; a 21-year-old college student, Ivory Harrison, killed when a gunman fired multiple shots into a crowd; and my 25-year-old nephew, Michael Douglas Hairston, shot through the chest four years ago during an altercation, his murderer never brought to justice.

These are just a few of the hundreds of examples of black Americans being killed, young and old alike, in this city. Perhaps our next president will not be alarmed by the Third World murder statistics in our nation’s capital because his young children, or his adult children, are unlikely to become the victims of this senseless violence. After all, anyone living in the White House will be protected 24-7.

No, I am not enthusiastic, not one bit. Presidential candidates are known to make promises they can’t keep, and I’ve yet to hear any candidate address the problems that plague the black communities of this great city, where black Americans are the majority. To my knowledge, no one in the White House has ever commented on black-on-black crime in Washington. Perhaps they wish it would just disappear.

I really hope that the next president decides to take a good, long look out of that White House window and check out what’s going on in his own back yard.
