What’s NOT On Michelle Obama’s iPod
First Lady wanna-be Michelle Obama commented on her musical tastes in the current issue of Marie Claire. Take a wild guess what’s not on Michelle Obama’s iPod?
Michelle Obama: I have a pretty eclectic mix of everything, from Beyoncé to Stevie Wonder. He’s my favorite artist of all time, so I probably have every song he’s ever recorded. But if I hear something I like somewhere, I’ll add it. I just heard this CD by Anthony David, who’s an R&B guy - I put him on there. That’s brand new, so I’m kind of enjoying that a lot now. I also have some old Mariah Carey; the girls have reintroduced me to some of her older stuff. So I have a good mix: some pop, some R&B, some jazz.
What? No hip-hop? This, from the wife of the man who once said his iPod playllist included music by rappers Jay-Z and Ludacris?
Marie Claire also asked Michelle “How do you deal with all the women swooning over your husband? Obama Girl, Scarlett Johansson…” To which Michelle responded, “I can’t blame them - he’s cute!”
Poor Michelle doesn’t know what she’s in for. She won’t be singing that tune if Obama is elected president. Those DC jump offs are an entirely different breed from your run of the mill jump offs in Chicago.

What woman doesn’t have to worry about women trying to steal their man now a days with the so-call shortage in a good man?
So what she doesn’t listen to hip hop. With these boatloads of bull-ish songs coming out lately, I’ve fallen back myself.
I don’t listen to country music, does that mean I’m not sufficient to exist in certain circles?

And, yeah, he will have women flocking at his feet, but hopefully he’s smart enough to realize that if he’s elected president, he will be heavily scrutinized for his every move, especially because of his color. So, if he were to decide to get a jump off on the side (which I don’t agree with, but it is what it is), he conceals it well enough.
I can’t imagine being in the spotlight…

@ kwallace, my husband and I are the same way. I listen to EVERYTHING from hip hop to dance(other than country) and he is apure hip hop. He gets mad when I play my pop music, but I can get down with all the hip hop that he plays. He teases me about it all the time, too, but he says that my diversity is one of the reasons that he was attracted to me.

i feel you at @diva about the diff. music from your other half. mine almost drove me damn **bonkers** with all of his music on the way to memphis once. i had to crawl in the back and dig out my own music and ear plugs before we even got to the state line. whew.
and he is one of those repetitive listeners too. one of the ones that hear his “jam” and he cannot leave the “repeat” button alone. so it is bad enough to hear it once, but by the second time? and you see this cat reaching for the “repeat” button AGAIN? oh hell naw.

When I went to his rally in Charlotte he had something like 8 secret service guys around him and multiple snipers on the roofs of the surrounding buildings.
