Is Julez a budding artistic genius?

I see some artistic talent in Julez’s paintings. As a youngster I was a talented artist whose works eventually hung in art galleries in Miami, NY and Atlanta. Click here to see two examples of my pen and ink pointillism drawings from the early 1980s. Artists rarely use the pointillism art style any more, which means creating a drawing with points or dots — no lines. It took me a month to complete that Michael Jackson drawing using tiny dots of ink.
I eventually put down my pens and picked up a camera instead. Like Shana, I hope Solo continues to encourage Julez’s artistic expression.

I visit your site often and figured I’d check for new gossip I may have missed and was shocked to see Kaane (the correct spelling of his stage name) had been kidnapped. I know him through my boyfriend and he used to stay next to us when we lived in Sandy Springs. He is a local rapper. I know he’s done songs with [Pastor] Troy and I believe he had something with Slim Thug in the works.
They play his songs at many of the clubs in atlanta. He is not from Jamaica. He’s a founder of PTR (Pro Team Records) and is pretty well known on the club scene (always out doing promo). From what you posted it seems that two females were at his residence when the kidnapping occured which would make me also think it was a set up. We all know that the best witness is a dead witness, so its unsettling to find out they were unharmed.
Do you know the females names? If you hear anything, or any new details emerge can you please keep the site posted as we are VERY worried about him and now live out of state so can’t follow live news. Thanks a lot. God Bless.

Again: please stop emailing me about that blogger
For the 2nd time in as many weeks, I awake to find emails from “concerned” readers about a certain blogger who, they claim, has a substance abuse problem. They say she got drunk recently and put her hand through a glass door…
OK — what does that have to do with me? This may surprise some of you, but we have never met and I have never spoken to her on the phone. We communicate occasionally through emails, and that’s about it.
People with substance abuse problems have to hit the wall before they finally decide to seek help. Until then, there is not much anyone can do, but offer their support and love.
And putting her on blast will not solve the problem.

New Music: Bow Wow – Sunshine (worst use of a sample ever?)
Not too long ago I saw a top 5 list of the worst uses of a sample in Hip Hop music. Every track on the list was Knaye West’s, lol.
Anyway, if someone comes up with a new list of worst samples in Hip Hop, I’m sure Bow Wow’s track “Sunshine” will make the top 10. Shad posted his new no-budget video for “Sunshine” on his YouTube channel over the weekend.
The “You’ve got” refrain you hear repeated throughout the track was lifted from Nancy Sinatra’s 1966 classic “These Boots Are Made For Walkin’ “. I don’t get it.
