Waiting game? AJC reports no papers filed
Atlanta’s local paper The Atlanta Journal ran a blurb in its online edition disputing media reports that Usher filed divorce papers in an Atlanta court today.
According to the AJC, news of Usher’s filing prompted “a flood of media inquiries to the clerk’s office.”
No such filing was found in a check of court records, however. That doesn’t mean Usher won’t eventually file since their marriage is officially a wrap.
At any rate, neither camp has issued a public statement. And something tells me they won’t. But maybe this waiting game is all part of a grand scheme to keep Usher’s name in the news?
If that’s the case, we’re all getting played. So remember that when it comes time for his album to drop.
UPDATE:
Jawn Murray, who writes for AOL Black Voices and the NY Daily News — both reputable news sources, just confirmed the rumors. So the media knows something we don’t.

SORRY IT DIDNT WORK OUT. I DONT THINK HE COULD GET PAST THE PART WHEN SHE WENT TO HAVE SURGERY AND HE HAD NO IDEA. USUALLY THIS KIND OF DIFIANCE COMES FROM WHEN EVERYBODY DOESNT WANT YOU TO BE WITH WHO YOU ARE WITH.

I personally a. don’t care … b. don’t believe it …. They were on the radio talkin about how this new Album “Monster” is supposed to be on the lines of “Confession” … giving his fans insight into his life and where he’s at right now … I think the announcement is timed perfectly ..

Please note that I never said he filed divorce papers. I got the news from reputable media outlets just like everyone else did today. I’m sure you’ve been on other blogs who all reported the same news?

I saw your tweet about Jawn then went to his Twitter and saw his Tweet. He was using a gossip site as his source. His credibility is out the window as far as I’m concerned. I had no idea he was so means spirited. Is he gay? Did Tameka slap his mama or something? Why would he be dancing over Usher and Tameka’s divorce?

To answer your question. At first I didn’t notice. But as the weeks progress and I started noticing she wasn’t traveling with him everywhere, then I knew something was up. As for the second child, I don’t think he was planning on have more kids that soon. If anything, she got pregnant again on purpose to try to keep him. When are these women going to learn that, that trick does not work but only stale the enviable.
If this is a stunt to sell records I hope it doesn’t back fire. He is 2 old and talented to use his family as a pawn. & for that I won’t buy the album.

Actually Tameka Raymond started first. There’s alot that happen between Jawn Murray and Tameka Raymond but it all started when he reported the who fiasco on the first wedding that was to take place in New York but ended up being post-pone.

For some reason I viewed Jawn as a journalist rather than a blogger as did Sandra apparently. I don’t know him from Adam and don’t even read him on AOL, but I’ve heard him on the radio and he sounds so rational and acts like he’s spewing facts. Based on his Twitter happy dance over this untrue divorce I now view him as a regular run of the mill blogger. He should not be feuding with Tameka. She’s a story and nothing more. Why is he making it personal to the point that he would celebrate her sadness like a child?

If this is another pre-release publicity stunt, then Usher had better come out with some fiyah or this is going to plummet his sales faster than the Titanic sunk.
He’s sweet as hell though - singing and dancing, so I expect his project to be outrageous.
All his fans (me included) ever really expected from him was some dynamic music…I could care less about who he chose as his wife and had kids with. That’s a part of his life that despite media outlets, will always have a percentage of privacy. Hell, I do what I want to do(decently and in order) as it pertains to my private life and I expect others to do the same. I just need some of his hot tracks to be playing while I carry on. LMAO.
All jokes aside. Marriage (between a man and woman) is very sacred to me. If their pending divorce is true, I am sad for the children.
I do not personally know Tameka or Usher, but from blog reports their marriage was in trouble from the start. You have to find ways to make it work with the in-laws, especially if your spouse comes from a close family, i.e., you can’t come between a momma’s boy and Pat.
I feel for celebs at times. You can’t tell who is after you for fame or your money, or if they are with you because they love you.

I agree with you Bird. Whenever you have people begging total strangers to stalk them, you know there’s a problem.
Tameka is trying to do damage control. She had her people contact TMZ, lol. The sad thing about it, they made her out to be desperate about her not being able to contact Usher in the past few days. When your husband is not even picking your phones calls you know definitely ****ed up.

f Usher Raymond filed for divorce from his wife Tameka Raymond — it’s news to her.
Here’s what we know. Although there are rumors Usher has filed, we’re told by sources close to Tameka that she has yet to receive any papers. But our source also tells us Tameka hasn’t spoken to Usher “in a few days” and has been trying to get a hold of him the entire time.
As for the courts, there’s no record of any filing by Usher.

And truth be told IF he filed for divorce today he has like 30 days to serve her. Just because she didn’t get the papers yet doesn’t mean he didn’t file. & the courts could be trying to keep this on the hush hush out of fear of losing their own jobs.
After reading that report I hope he is divorcing her (harsh yeah but whatever!). Why would you contact the media outlets telling them you have been trying to get in touch with him for days with no avail? Come on are you that dumb?

I didn’t want to say anything (cause you know you my cyber family) but I think marriage between two people that really love each other (man & womnan, man & man, woman & woman) should be considered sacred.
In a country where you can marry a millionair, a midget(tv shows)or a stanger for them to stay in the country then marriage btw two people who love each other should just be special.
