Michael Jackson’s Body Won’t Be At Public Memorial?
I just got a call from an industry friend in L.A. who urged me not to believe the hype. She said Michael Jackson’s body won’t be at Staples Center for the public memorial service as previously reported.
She said Michael’s private memorial was held last night for over 1,000 family and friends and that his body (minus his brain) will be interred in a crypt at Forest Lawn Cemetery this morning.
According to UK’s Daily Mirror, the L.A. coroner’s office is withholding Michael’s brain as evidence in an ongoing potential homicide investigation — although no charges have been brought.
His brain will either be cremated or placed in the crypt at a later date. The family will make that ultimate decision.
TMZ.com has the live feed of the motorcade (sponsored by Rolls Royce and Range Rover) that left the Jackson residence in Encino on its way to Forest Lawn for the funeral — not a memorial.
She said a casket will be onstage at Staples, but the public is being duped into believing his body will be at Staples. I don’t know what to believe. Judging from the pics, it sure looks like a funeral to me.

CNN just said the body will be at the Staples Center..I’m inclined to believe it will be an empty casket..Why would they be at the cemetary with the body..Then take it to the Staples Center..That just doesn’t make sense..

well, if the casket remains closed then no, he’s not in it. if they open the casket, there you have it. personally, i wouldn’t have his body at the memorial service. lay that man to rest and lets move on as best possible.

Thats understandable…his body shouldn’t be there anyway. thats too much, we know he’s dead. The only people who are entitled to see him in his casket have done so, I have no argument with that.
So if no body is gonna be there – why they talking about flying an empty casket to the Center? Then I just read they are gonna get the FAA involved because so many news ppl flying over the Staples Center and they are worried about their Chopper driver being safe. We will soon find out…..
i dont think the body should be there anyway, those fans would probably go crazy trying to get down to see him.

That’s exactly how I feel about it too. This man lived his life for his audience/fans. We can’t expect to have him like that in death too – his family should rightfully be allowed to obtain closure with this minus the public.
i guess it is closure for the fans, hell some fans still think Tupac and Elvis is still alive. being i can’t view any footage im going to lunch and eat hospital food.

i hope they will replay it again later, the way they did princes Dianna. I was up watching her funeral 1am NYC time, I was pregnant, misserable and was peeing every minute. The service was beautiful the way they carried her lead casket…priceless.

This is to much of a circus and I think its morbid that tickets were given away and people being excited about winning.
