PICS: Whitney Houston “I Look To You” Listening Party in NYC
Last night, pop legend Whitney Houston thrilled and regaled the industry elite at a listening party for her sixth studio album “I Look To You.” The J/RCA Records listening event at the Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center in NYC was well attended by everyone from Alicia Keys to Martha Stewart. The only one missing was me because a RCA rep repeatedly hung up on me when I requested credentials to cover the event. The rep kept asking who I was as if she’d never heard of me before. That’s fine with me since I’m not trying to be famous anyway.
Whitney pretended to be excited to see singer Alicia Keys. We wish we could read her mind to see what she was really thinking.

Clive Davis, chairman of J Records introduced Whitney at the Lincoln Center. Whitney looked a little tired and withered, but happy.
Whitney is still doing it — though she’s lost a little weight from her rail thin frame. I personally would have chosen a different dress for Whit to wear on her big night. The black trash bag look is not it. But we LOVE the shoes!
Alicia Keys still favors the heavy pancake foundation, I see. My guess is she has no real friends to tell her to go easy on the batter.
Home and garden aficionado Martha Stewart couldn’t get her camera working.

Old school singer Freddie Jackson has lost so much weight I almost didn’t recognize him. You youngsters who weren’t born when your parents were slow grinding to his smooth vocals can Google him.

She’s Back! Whitney was not surprised to see AK. AK wrote a song or two on the albumn. I am surprised at the way Freddie Jackson looks.
I know alot of people are anticapating WH’s album but I’m not I like some of her songs, but never been a fan of her. Anyways, I hope she come onto Wendy’s show so they can got at it again!! lol! Ummmm AK has chronic skin problems I wonder if thats why she wears all that pancake on her face…

Whitney looks GREAT! Im soo excited for her album. Seriously, Clive Davis KNOWS how to set up an album! I havent been this excited for an album since I dont know when. The anticipation is there! I so hope this is huge for her. Did I mention how GREAT she looks???
Freddie Jackson, Alexander O’neil, Cherrele, Surface, Heatwave, Cameo, GAp band, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Stephanie Mills, Anita Baker and the list goes on… smh I was just a youngin then but even at that age I appreciated good music!

Before Maxwell sang on Good Morning America they played Whits song. It wasn’t my first time hearing it. It’s the Whitney we know. The song is nice but I forgot the name.

I wondered about the connection also. Martha has her own tv show w/celeb guests, Martha is a control freak and would not likely send a staff member to attend the “listening party”. I bet she tried to book Whit on her show.
