Actress Kerry Washington covers the current issue of JET magazine. As you know, Kerry has been unlucky at love. So much so that she even tried dating outside of her race because, like other high profile black women, she devalues black men as not being good enough for her.

ok Truth…here is my relatable story. my cousin got engaged in January and i got engaged in March. she had a date set and then they broke up in March. Me and my fiance’ went on w/ our wedding plans, put deposits on a room, selected a date (which was really selected by when the hotel was available). the date we got was 3 weeks before her originally wedding date. well, they got back together and her wedding was the same date again…shade was being thrown. for instance she ordered our dresses and i ordered mine around the same time (we were in each other’s wedding). we got hers first and they were plain. my were cuter (really it was b/c of the color), so 2 days later, she says she will pay us for our dresses and is ordering us new ones out of pocket. a

after my wedding she got a new cake, new table linens, everything…HOWEVER…when we were at her wedding folks were still talking about mine…and i just smiled graciously and was nice about it…

go to her wedding if you would have done it before she pulled this..have fun…

I’ve had the same best friend since we were 7 and I have three other friends and that is it….its’s not that I don’t do women per se’…I am just a loner and I am very reserved when I fist meet people and I think I come off as being snobbish, but I am not. I’m just not a very trusting person. I prefer a small circle. The smaller the circle the less, if any drama….

I’ve never had a lot of friends, because people were always jealous of me because I was an only child and they thought my family were rich…it wasn’t that we were rich…but hell, it was only 3 of us!!!!! me, my mom, and dad…..LOL…women/girls have done a lot of MEAN nonsensical things to me in my lifetime for no reason and have been the subject of a lot of untrue things…so I just don’t trust easily…. so I feed people with a long handle spoon..but I am coming out of my shell a little…kids make you HAVE to do that…..

I’ve had mine since the 7th grade and like you I’m a loner and reserved and don’t trust people at all. I’ve been shown time and time again, even recently that I can’t trust females so if they sthink I’m stuck up or snobbish then so be it but I’ve learned the hard way you can’t have any every body in ur circle because as soon as they find out anything the whole town will know. I just want to say that these last few comments make me feel better because it let me know that there are people out there like me, lol. I’m worst than yall though. I have a FAB circle of gfriends and I am a moody bish (the Leo in me) I am a loner and reserved in real life but when I want to be bothered I have several friends and associates I can call to hang out. I dont believe in rolling solo cause I am paranoid penny and scared I wldnt make it back home. I dont do drama I am straight no chaser so when I/we have an issue I speak on it and move on. I am not boy crazy so never fell out w/a gfriend over a man or money for that matter. I grew up with 3 cuz thats the same age so we are like sisters vs cuz hence my love of gfriends!
