Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren Officially Divorced
Golf great Tiger Woods and his former wife Elin Nordegren are officially divorced. That means Tiger can go back to propping up his inflated ego with living blow up dolls, and Elin can move on with her life.
TMZ has obtained the divorce documents filed in the Tiger Woods split … in which the marriage is described as “irretrievably broken.”
According to the docs, Tiger and Elin Nordegren reached a settlement agreement way back at the beginning of July — July 3rd and 4th.
Elin says in the docs that she wants her maiden name restored — Elin Maria Pernilla Nordegren.
According to the documents, both Tiger and Elin have each completed a 4-hour parenting course.
UPDATE: We’ve also obtained the final judgment papers. It states the marriage “is hereby dissolved because it is irretrievably broken.” 1. In addition, Elin’s request to restore her maiden name was granted.
Ha ha ha, she doesn’t even want his name. Good for you Elin!

I agree that the marriage should have ended. It was full of poison and obviously the holy matrimony was not a factor for Tiger.
But it is sad when children are involved. Even if they have a daughter, the daughter has to grow up knowing her father wronged her mom. And it was in front of the entire world to see.

But all you have to do is look at the history of the world and I think it will do all the explaining for me.
Tiger “gambled” that his “marriage” would increase his “brand” as far as marketing, and it did. You gamble enough and eventually you will lose. That’s how it works. In the long run she accomplished what she set out to do, Tiger will be fine and he is a shining example to other people in his posistion not to get married. Everybody wins.

my mom claims that is why she kept my dad last name. said she wrote down her maiden name..to test the waters…on some of my older sister school stuff and the lady called her with all KINDS of questions. said she QUICKLY re-embraced his name.
so many mixed, blended, hyrbid families these days folks don’t have time to look to see WHO last name it is…lmao…

LOL, what the heck am I talking about. I took back my maiden name and when I got married again I hyphenated. (It seems like another life time ago, I forgot all about it). I hypenated because my dad is an only child and most of his kids are girls. My kids do have their dad’s last name and hubby and I don’t have any kids. I have seen 5 kids in one family and they all have a diff last name. You know ppl do judge even though it’s todays norm.
