Will LOUD Finally Put Rihanna in a League All By Herself?

The back cover of Rihanna’s hotly anticipated LOUD album has leaked online. The album’s celebrity features includes collaborations with Drake, Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga. With so much talent on loan from God, how can LOUD not rocket Rihanna into the stratosphere and put her in a league all by herself?
From what I hear, the album contains some of the best material Rihanna has recorded to date.
I heard 6 of the tracks over the phone recently after I promised not to record the phone call. The tracks included “Raining Men” ft. Nicki Minaj’s annoying raps.
Vocally, Rihanna has grown to the point where Madonna was when her Like a Virgin made her a global megastar in ’84.
I was in nursing school when that iconic album came out. I vividly recall ‘Virgin’ disrupting classes at my nursing school in Florida because most of my fellow classmates were out buying the album.
Will LOUD do that for Rihanna?

Poor thing she is so lost

I wanna hear the song with Lady Gaga, other than that it looks relatively unimpressive. But I’ll give it a listen when it comes out.
I think it may sell more than Rated R, just cause its not as dark, but I dunno about any big numbers.
SANOOTS! KNOW YO AZZ NEED TO BE STUDYIN!
Sandra if you were in nursin school with that album came out that makes you *counts years on in head* YOU ARE NOT THAT OLD!
I actually liked some of the songs on her last album, so there is really not tellin
Around 45 or so??? @Brown
Cause I was born in ’84 && I will be 26 next month. One would have to be at least 19-20 going into medical school. Right?
Hopefully it sells so she can stop with that LOUD hair
Unless Rihanna learned how to sing, this album won’t be a huge success.
i wanna hear with Raning Men sounds like #teamnicki
this morning i saw the video for Only Girl in the World, its cute but i hate the song
This actually looks good and interesting.
@Flo .. I am with you. Rated R wasn’t bad IMO. I actually bootlegged it and listen to it once a week. I still don’t think she can sing really, but Rated R wasn’t a bad album IMO. The lead single for this is annoying and def not the Rhi I prefer, but some people like it. So time will tell how she does on the charts.
i likes riri she diferent but her cd i dont think will do that good

@flo good morning my luv
@brown what it do
I’ve never been a fan of Rihanna’s music, so I’m sure I won’t be buying the cd. But good luck to her.
Good Morning everyone!
You need more people
You are a hot mess. Not too long ago you said Rihanna couldn’t sing a lick and you said her last album sucked something terrible. I better start seeing some Rihanna prizes given away for all this love. I know you were crushing on her back in the day, but nothing like this complete turnaround. You’re treating her better than T.I., Tiny and Monica combined. What gives?
For the record RiRi I have always loved you, Run This Town was my shizz and I stood up for it when Sandra said you sounded like a wet cat or something to that effect and I’m a major fan of RiRi the warrior woman. Now can get get some of your left over shoes?
I dunno about this one. Screams: “trying too hard.” What I HATE about Rihanna is that she is not an “artist.” She has no creativity, no lane of her own, no real theme to her existence. When she “reinvents” herself, there is no ingenuity about it. Simply- “Def Jam wanted me to take my next album in a new direction, so they told me to try this one and this is what I’m doing. Please buy it.”
And it doesn’t bother me that she is solely a “manufactured” artist- it bothers me that I can TELL that she is solely a manufactured artist. I don’t BELIEVE Rihanna. And I know this- because when she sings a song- I spend more time making bets with myself on who wrote the song for her, then trying to figure out what life situation prompted her to write it.
But that’s just my opinion….as the BUYING consumer…I’m nobody important, you know…

Will LOUD do that for Rihanna? – Sandra Rose

Lies, Screeanna ain’t got nothing on Madonna’s voice…Her dancing is subpar at best…And her stage presence leaves a LOT to be desired.
So, in answer to your question…Not a chance.
Sandra, please! She will never be in the same league as Madonna nor will she be around for 30 plus years like her. Really?
im looking forward to it… rihanna never needed to learn how to sing to be able to sell millions before so thats just a dumb album…
i love where rihanna fits in… her albums are the ones i bump on my 1.5 hour commute each day… loud pop club…
every one has there place and like other screeching singers out… rihanna knows her place and stays in her lane SO WHY ALL THE HATE?
@flo yes it is thank god i need today to go by fast hopefuly some fukery will hapen today at sr high
#messy
CORRECTION:
thats just a dumb comment**
SNOOTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Luscious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe it’s just me, but I play someone’s song/record, I want to be able to listen to it w/o the need to cover my ears. But these days true talent doesn’t get you very far anyway.
I guess I just miss the days when singers were required to be able to, you know, sing.
@ Still, you pretty much sum’d it up
Madonna? #chick please
Rhianna need those collabos to have people interested in her album because she CAN NOT stand alone.
She can’t sing…she is the chick who should be seen and not heard
I’m really looking forward to this album. She’s not afraid to take a risk & that’s one of the things I like about her. Rihanna reign has not & if this album does well, will not stop!
Good Morning Beautiful ladies.. Genia, Brown, FlO and Laker
DARKALICIOUS!!!!!!!!
BTW RiRi will never compare to Madonna even if Madonna was still performing at age 65!!!!!1
@ Still
I suspect that even Rhianna doesn’t believe Rhianna anymore. Might be why she doesn’t seem happy in most of the pics that Sandra has been posting lately.
GOOD MORNING
IM SOOOOO SLEEPY
Dont yall hate when yall text folks and they take forever to respond and you know they aint doin shyt!
I hate that I like her music (I know she can’t sing its just catchy) but I am tired of seeing her. That red hair is killing me. She’s really serious about it too!
@gg is that u mamas
and
how u doing??? how is that diet thing going?
@brown or when they cll u and u cll them right bak and they act like the drop the phone and ran away from it never answer and chit but i rather u txt me than cll me

It’s only one problem with Rihanna reaching Madonna’s level. Can you guys guess?
Hey Brown and SR Family! So glad to be home.
Welcome back Qtip!
Sorry Auntie but can you say “epic fail”, I’ve heard several songs off the cd and they sound like her same old whiney voice singing over some nice beats.

Rhianna has alot of personality. When she uses a lower tone she actually sounds good on record. Live is another story. I hope for her she steps up her stage performance. Career maker or breaker for me

Call me a stan but I actually liked Rated R. All but Rude Boy. (The biggest hit) LOL. I just dont like the calypso type music. But based on the two songs I’ve heard on Loud, Only Girl- I like it and Who’s that Chick- I dont like that one…it’s a toss up as to the overall sound. But I’ll definitely download it from somewhere OOPS, I mean purchase it from Target or something and listen to it.

*sigh* :/ I’m not talking about comparing Rihanna to Madonna’s voice or her dance skills. I’m talking about albums gaining iconic status. We would not be talking about Madonna if her music wasn’t great. Let’s face it, Madonna’s voice in the beginning was not all that.

Was that supposed to be the joke of the day Auntie, cus I can’t stop laughing.
I do love her new single.. only girl ( in the world) thats actually my jam… ( my yt girl song- lol)
eh won’t reach madonna status. especially since lady gaga is coming out with new material soon. beyonce might as well and she can’t compete with them
#teamRihanna
Hate her new sound but LOVE her all the same. WERK!
