Singer/songwriter Keri Hilson offended and upset her 1.4 million Twitter.com followers yesterday when she displayed amazing insensitivity about the passing of British chanteuse Amy Winehouse.

Winehouse's fans, who were still in mourning, didn't find the joke funny at all. They accused Hilson of pulling a stunt by using Winehouse's untimely death to draw attention to herself.
Keri tried to clean it up a few moments later by tweeting:
But the damage had already been done. Fans of Winehouse let Hilson have it in a deluge of angry tweets last night on the social networking website.
