Miss Tyra Sanchez busted on drug charge

The winner of the 2nd season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” was busted on drug charges this week in Gwinnett, according to The Atlanta Journal.
James William Ross IV, also known as Tyra Sanchez, was arrested Tuesday night when the car he was a passenger in was stopped on I-85 for having illegal window tinting, according to a police report obtained by the AJC. The Gwinnett police officer who stopped the car said he smelled raw marijuana and searched the vehicle.
Ross, 23, of Atlanta, was charged with marijuana possession and booked into the Gwinnett County jail. He posted bond and was released the following afternoon, jail records show. Source
Our police source tells us that Ross was forced to remove her drag queen paraphernalia for her mug shot — including a lacefront wig and layers of professional makeup, which helps explain the disarrayed hairline in her mugshot.

Afternoon Wood: Nashawn Kearse
Loyal reader Jonell PR writes:
When I saw this I thought of 2 words I got from you: #Morning Wood LOL! Nashawn Kearse actor. Many people will recognize him from Entourage & I would say Desperate Housewives (the brother that was locked in the basement) . But clearly these pictures do not reflect that same brother. A great actor!

Sean Combs goes back to school at UCLA

Rap mogul Sean Combs, 41, took time out of his busy schedule to attend a history class at UCLA on Wednesday. Baron Davis, guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers, tweeted the above pic of Combs listening intently in class with other NBA players. Kevin Love, forward for the Minnesota Timberwolves is also in the photo.
While Combs may have been attending class just for a day (or more like a few minutes), the two NBA players, in addition to Russell Westbrook and Trevor Ariza, take their education more seriously. The men are all enrolled at UCLA during their hiatus from the NBA due to the NBA lockout.
All 4 NBA players serve as inspirations to Black kids everywhere. “I don’t want the lockout to go to December or January but just in case I’ve signed up to be in class in the fall,” Love said in an interview with ESPN.com. “I’m excited to have the opportunity to do so but I’m hoping my fall classes get cut short.”
Combs was on campus with his son, Justin Combs, 17, who is being considered as a possible recruit for the Bruins. Justin is a standout wide receiver at his private school in NYC.
Something tells us the enrollment rate for groupies at UCLA is about to soar.
Jay and Kanye’s ‘swollen egos’ lead to disappointing sales of ‘Throne’

It’s simple mathematics: an equation in which 2 narcissists are equal will always cancel each other out.
According to Billboard.com, Kanye West and Jay Z’s much-hyped collaborative effort, Watch The Throne, debuted on iTunes with just 436,000 units scanned. This figure is far below the estimated 1 million pre-sales on the album’s website Watchthethrone.com.
According to IBTimes.com, Jay Z and Kanye’s “swollen egos” led to the album falling short of 500,000. “Jay and Kanye talk about their “greatness” so much, it is almost as if they forgot to actually bring it to the album,” writes IBTimes.
Both stars have ultra-star power and they certainly know it… and they know that we know it.
… In fact, Jay and Kanye talk about their “greatness” so much, it is almost as it they forgot to actually bring it to the album.
According to most critics, the album has its impressive moments. In spite of their large egos, Jay-Z and Kanye West are talented artists and bring great tracks to the table. But considering the hype surrounding their names, the album falls short. The rappers almost make it seem they are god-like themselves in the nearly blasphemous and impious track “No Church in the Wild.”
In spite of their names, Jay-Z and Kanye have some work to do if they want to keep their album on the top of the charts.
