Here is more proof that Chris Brown's career is officially over.
According to the Orlando Sentinel newspaper, a viewer kicked up a fuss over a seemingly innocent photo attached to the bio of a newly hired television reporter.
The reporter, clean cut Evrod Cassimy, who used to work at Central Florida News 13 in Orlando, is now an anchor at CBS4 in Denver.
Westword, the alternative paper in Denver, reports that CBS4 innocently posted a photo of Cassimy -- a self-described Chris Brown fan -- posing with Brown, whom the paper referred to as a “singer/felon.”
CBS4's viewers didn't waste any time protesting the tv station's choice of photos on its website.
Actress Vivica A. Fox is bucking the current trend of putting her personal life on public display for television cameras. The 47-year-old star of Set It Off and Kill Bill said she is avoiding going the reality show route to preserve her relationship with her man.
“I will be getting married soon,” Vivica said, referring to her engagement to fiance Omar "Slimm" White. “When we got engaged it was the #1 trending topic of the day on Yahoo! so we thought everyone would be interested in seeing the wedding and the whole shebang.”
Vivica told reporters at the recent Comic Con event in San Diego that she knew she'd made the right decision after meeting with reality tv show producers.
“When we went there, they were like, ‘What do you guys fight about?’ Who are your friends that are a mess?’ So I was like, ‘I don’t want to start off my marriage with creating drama’ because we get along very good.”
“I try not to live my life in a fishbowl. I have to turn off,” Vivica said. “If I’m on all of the time, how will my husband ever get to know me as his future wife. I have learned to turn off and to be able to hang out with my family and my friends and not be so on.”
A New Mexico police officer was caught literally with his pants down having sex with a woman on the hood of a car in broad daylight.
According to USA Today, a surveillance camera set up by Santa Fe County officials to catch teenagers spray painting graffiti on public property instead captured footage of the unidentified officer having sex with a woman while still in full uniform.
KOB Eyewitness News obtained graphic photos of the illicit sex act from the Sante Fe Sheriff's office after filing a public records request.
In one photo, the officer is seen looking over his right shoulder while engaging in intercourse with a woman who lay spread eagle on the hood of a car as a small Chihuahua looks on. It isn't clear who the Chihuahua belongs to.
According to The Village Voice, J.C. Penney has agreed to pull a controversial t-shirt from its stores after parents complained that the shirt's message was harmful to teenage girls.
After pulling the shirts, J.C. Penney released a statement that read, in part:
We agree that the "Too pretty" t-shirt does not deliver an appropriate message, and we have immediately discontinued its sale. Our merchandise is intended to appeal to a broad customer base, not to offend them.
J.C. Penney was selling a T-shirt for girls aged 7 to 16 featuring a colorful slogan across its front that read: "I'm too pretty to do homework so my brother has to do it for me."
The online sales pitch for the tee reads, "Who has time for homework when there's a new Justin Bieber album out? She'll love this tee that's just as cute and sassy as she is."
Alarmed parents were concerned with the t-shirts message, which encourages conceit and overinflated egos among teenage girls.
The parents were correct to be worried, especially in light of a recent research study that shows narcissism on the rise among teens and college students.
Young girls who are constantly told how "cute" or "pretty" they are tend to develop a false sense of identity and a false feeling of entitlement. These children usually grow up to become depressed women who frequently have difficulty maintaining relationships.
The Village Voice reports that parents took to Twitter in droves to express their disgust with J.C. Penney. There was also an online petition circulating that had collected 685 signatures as of yesterday.
After contributing to the deterioration of the black community by promoting prison culture such as wearing his pants off his butt, ex-convict Lil Wayne now hopes to encourage your sons to wear women's leggings as a fashion statement.
Lil Wayne's performance on the MTV Video Music Awards was memorable mainly because of the tight, form fitting, leopard print spandex pants that he wore. He tried to make the feminine leggings look more manly by pairing it with a multi-colored Louis Vuitton belt. But that particular belt is mainly worn by chicks, not men.
Weezy's fashion gamble caused Twitter to implode with tweets ridiculing his leggings, which he called skateboarder pants. But according to Tripp NYC's Facebook page, Wayne was wearing their leggings, which are sold as female pants.
Pretty soon, your sons will be wearing spandex pants as fashion statements just like Lil Wayne.
And why not? Greedy record label owners have long succeeded in emasculating the black man with the assistance of ignorant rappers who care more about the dollars and nothing about the sense of what they're doing to their community.
Crooner Usher was spotted sexing up a LSLH chick in his new video filmed in Queens, NY yesterday. Usher did a convincing job of pretending to be attracted to a younger woman instead of women old enough to be his mother. At least his Cougar girlfriend has nothing to worry about. That's the benefit of dating a man who didn't successfully navigate the Oedipus complex in his childhood.
The life of a jet setting superstar can be glamorous and exciting. But even a fashion plate like Kanye West sometimes forgets fashion rule 101: change clothes often enough so you always look fresh.
Kanye spent hours celebrating with Jay Z after Beyonce revealed her pregnancy on MTV's VMAs on Sunday.
According to London's The Sun tabloid, a source said Kanye is set to be the baby's godfather.
"Kanye is as excited about the baby as Beyonce and Jay-Z. It will be a huge honour for him."
The troubled singer had been jumping around on stage with the Jigga Man and getting excited about his new godfather role, but even that didn't make him change clothes and go.
Later, Kanye was spotted at LAX airport -- still wearing the same smelly denim shirt that he wore at the VMAs. Kanye boarded a private jet for the 10-hour flight from LAX to London's Heathrow airport, where he arrived on Monday.
That evening, Kanye joined his artist D'Banj onstage at London's Hammersmith Apollo, where he performed for an hour in the same shirt. According to Kanye's former beard, Amber Rose, Kanye could use some help in the area of personal hygiene.
Two of Hollywoods HOTTEST: Actress, Elise Neal and Actor, DB Woodside of VH1's 'Single Ladies' grace the double covers of Denim Magazine for September, THE DOUBLE ISSUE. This is an issue you don't want to miss for all the latest on what's up with Elise and her Hollywood grind, plus DB Woodside and VH1's 'Single Ladies'!
Grand Hustle CEO Jason Geter and General manager Hannah Kang sent a custom tour bus to pick up Grand Hustle founder T.I. from an Arkansas prison early this morning. The rapper boarded the bus around 7:30 a.m., and is now on his way back to Atlanta to begin serving 30 days at a halfway house or home confinement.
Despite tweets from Geter and Kang announcing T.I.'s impending release, certain blogs chose to listen to others rather than to read Hannah's Twitter page where the most accurate info was updated.
How can you run a successful blog if you don't pay attention to what the star's camp is telling you? You will learn...
Many men believe producer The Dream was a fool for leaving Christina Milian, with whom he has a daughter. But we ladies of SR know better. We know that women like Christina are nice to look at but they often have serious issues stemming from their feelings of entitlement. Christina was spotted shopping with her mother (pictured at right with stroller) and daughter Violet at Fred Segal in West Hollywood in West Hollywood, CA.
La La Vazquez Anthony, star of "La La's Full Court Life," was spotted going into the Sirius radio studios in Midtown, NYC to do an interview yesterday. "La La's Full Court Life" garnered a 0.7 rating for adults 18-49 with 1.4 million viewers tuning in on Monday night. That's not too shabby. But the season debut of "Basketball Wives: LA" did a little better, with 1.8 million viewers in the same age group. La La's ratings should pick up once the sparks begin to fly between La La's lesbun cousin Dice and singer Ciara (maybe I've said too much?)
A Florida lawmaker made headlines across the country Monday when he handed out 200 belts to students to help them abide by a new law by pulling their pants up.
Democratic State Senator Gary Siplin of Orlando pushed for a so-called Pull Your Pants Up law for six years, before finally getting it passed last Spring.
The state legislature voted overwhelmingly to enact the ban at the start of the 2011-12 school year, making Florida and Arkansas the only two states with such a widespread prohibition against saggy pants for students. Source
Siplin, who is black, met with strong resistance from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), who argued that the new law unfairly targeted blacks.
Unlike other states which have outright banned wearing saggy pants in the populace, Siplin's law only affects students and it carries no jail time or harsh fees for repeat offenders. The law instead subjects repeat violators to suspensions from school and extracurricular activities.
"We want our kids to believe they're going to college, and part of that is an attitude, and part of that is being dressed professionally," said Siplin, who spent Monday morning handing out over 200 belts to students at three largely minority high schools in the Orlando area.
"I'm not going to hire anyone, white or black, with saggy pants," he said. "I want to make sure our kids qualify."
A loyal reader sent this age progression photo of Jayonce Giselle Knowles-Carter at age 17. Isn't she precious?
While the kingdom of Beyonce celebrates the joyous news of the impending royal birth, the real world is contemplating what the child will look like if she inherits her father's full blown genes.
This would probably be the ideal situation for Beyonce because she loves her some Jay Z.
Unfortunately, in the real world, this society considers her mother's beauty to be the gold standard by which all women -- including Jayonce -- are measured. So Jayonce will not get a pass.
Luckily, Jayonce's parents are loaded and can afford the best plastic surgery that money can buy. So it's a good bet that her high school yearbook picture won't look much like the picture above. Bless her heart.
No matter how highly Alicia Keys thinks of herself, she isn't a big enough star to grace the cover of GLAMOUR magazine by herself. The gangsta B-list singer, who used to wear a gold AK47 rifle on a chain around her neck, shares the October 2011 cover with A-list actresses Demi Moore (Ashton's wife), and Jennifer Aniston.
On why her time in Egypt (the country) inspired her to create a baby: "It was a time of transition. There were certain people [I was working with] who weren’t right. I had friends who weren’t right anymore. I was tired and I had overworked myself and burnt myself out. So I went to Egypt by myself. When I saw what was built there, it made me understand how powerful we are, that we can create anything. And I felt like I needed to create things that were timeless too." Source
We found many people paying homage to Michael Jackson in honor of his birthday. From die hard fans leaving flowers on Michael Jackson's star on Hollywood Blvd to stars like Flo Rida, Ne-Yo and their celebrity friends. Flo Rida explained he was in a festive mood due in part to the release of his latest single "Good Feeling" which was released on Michael Jackson's birthday and debut on top 100. We caught up with Flo Rida in the studio working on his Only One Rider Part II album. Source
