Today’s Morning Wood was suggested by loyal reader Liliana Jackson.

David Hollie, born September 18th, 1992, was raised in Southeast San Diego with his three sisters. David values the especially strong connection with his fraternal twin sister, and the two have always been inseparable. As a young man he attended The New Hope Seventh Day Adventist Church every Saturday with his family. It was within this spiritual environment that David met some truly influential people who played the roles of friends and mentors. After learning to play the drums and playing at his church, it was that same fast tempo that served as the symbolic driving force through which he would achieve his goals.

Living in San Diego, David quickly realized that he was naturally good at playing sports and immediately involved himself in every related activity. In 2006, David attended his first year of high school at Helix Charter High, where he discovered and cultivated his passion for football, track, and wrestling. Although David was sometimes stereotyped as your “typical jock” in high school, he was unique and stood apart from his peers effortlessly.

After graduating in 2010, David was often told that he “had the look” and should seriously consider modeling, specifically for Hanes underwear – it seems a few cheerleaders saw his potential even before he identified it. Although flattered, at the time it was not a recommendation that he took seriously. He pursued higher education by attending South Western College, and played on their football team. Although he occasionally accepted modeling jobs, he still was not completely convinced of the impact modeling was destined to have on his future.

Eventually approached by a manager at Hollister Co., a popular casual and sports clothing company, David accepted an offer to work as a shirtless model to greet customers. It was then that he decided to explore the path of becoming a professional male model – not merely your “typical” model, but one of the best. After submitting his natural pictures to every top agency in the modeling industry, David quickly discovered that it would be more challenging than he initially envisioned.

Every person with a dream needs someone to present them with the opportunity for that dream to be realized. For David, that opportunity came when the CEO of the Bienaime Agency, Marvin Bienaime, a successful male model himself and Founder of the Smile 4 Haiti charity organization, identified David’s undeniable potential and invited him to accept representation by one of the most influential boutique agencies in existence today – The Bienaime Agency. David’s goal of becoming a super model is well on its way to manifesting, and the campaign to afford him long lasting notoriety in the modeling industry is already in motion.
