Champion boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., 35, was released from a state prison after serving time for punching out his baby mama in front of their children. Mayweather was greeted by his mother and friends and family as he exited the Clark County Detention Center just after midnight Friday. The cowardly prize fighter looked emaciated and exhausted after serving two months of a three-month sentence in the misdemeanor domestic battery case. He wore the same grey hooded warmups that he had on when he was taken into custody on June 1.

Gabrielle Douglas, who won 2 gold medals in the 2012 Summer Olympics, covers today's Washington Post. The 16-year-old, who is nicknamed "the flying squirrel," wowed the crowds with her incredible athletic prowess.

In any other culture such amazing achievements would be a source of pride. But in the black community, there is a raging debate on the style and texture of Gabby's hair -- and the media is lapping it up. As a race we are already scraping rock bottom in America, but who ever thought we could go even lower?

On Wednesday, thousands of people -- black and white -- turned out in droves at Chick-fil-A restaurants in response to public criticism of CEO Dan Cathy who voiced his opinion on traditional marriage.

Chick-fil-A announced a record-breaking day for sales. The turnout on Wednesday smashed all records for foot traffic at any fast food restaurant chain in history.

But you wouldn't know about the biggest story of the week just by picking up a newspaper in any major city, or by watching CNN.

Atlanta-based CNN -- which gave major coverage to giant snapping turtles last month -- devoted scant coverage to the Chick-fil-A story.

It will be interesting to see how much coverage the biased media will devote to the planned gay "kiss-in" at Chick-fil-A restaurants today.

Andrea Sneiderman was arrested this morning and charged with the shooting death of her husband outside a Dunwoody day-care center in November 2010. Sneiderman didn't pull the trigger but DeKalb District Attorney Robert James believes Sneiderman's infidelity and greed led to her husband's death.

Sneiderman's former boss at GE, Hemy Neuman, was found guilty but mentally ill in the shooting death of Russell "Rusty" Sneiderman earlier this year.

Neuman is currently serving a term of life in prison without parole at the Diagnostic and Classification Center in Jackson.

Andrea Sneiderman is charged with malice murder, attempted murder, insurance fraud, racketeering and two counts of perjury and false statements.

The insurance fraud charge stems from the $2 million she received after Rusty's death.

Tameka Raymond is reportedly upset with her ex-husband, singer Usher Raymond, for allegedly using her son Kile Glover's death to delay their contentious child custody hearing.

As I told you previously, Usher only visited 11-year-old Kile Glover "once" in the 3 weeks he stayed in ICU at a local children's hospital. Kile died of traumatic brain injuries sustained in a boating accident on Lake Lanier. Family members were upset that the media continued to describe Kile as Usher's "stepson" when Usher wasn't in Kile's life after his divorce from Tameka.

Socialite and reality TV star La La Anthony rushed to London with her son Kiyan to meet up with husband Carmelo Anthony as soon as she heard that certain members of Team USA were being naughty. Some of you have seen the photos of bare chested Kobe Bryant sandwiched between two hot blonds at a party last week. Upon hearing the news, Kobe's estranged wife, Vanessa Bryant, packed up her two daughters and hurried off to London.

And I'm sure you've heard about LeBron James propositioning a blond swimmer -- who turned him down flat. What's going on? The answer is quite simple: men are pre-wired to cheat. It's in their genes. Men have needs that require urgent attention -- and it doesn't really matter who they get that attention from. When a man marries a woman he promises to stay faithful, but that only works as long as there aren't any beautiful, irresistible gold diggers around to tempt them.
