Samsung Buys 1 Million Jay Z Albums

Last week there were reports that rap mogul Jay Z signed a $20 million endorsement deal with electronics giant Samsung to promote their Samsung Galaxy smartphones. The rumors were confirmed just days later when Jay Z posted a photo of a Samsung smartphone on his personal blog, Life+Times, and on Twitter.com asking his fans to tune in to game 5 of the NBA Finals for a special announcement at 9:15 p.m. Sunday.

Kanye Wets's Yeezus Springs a Leak

Kanye West is probably somewhere doing some furniture moving now that his much-antipated album, Yeezus, was leaked in advance of it’s June 18 release date.

Kanye is understandably paranoid about guarding his music from ruthless bootleggers.

To prevent unauthorized leaks of his and Jay Z’s CD Watch the Throne, West, 36, recorded and mixed the tracks in portable studios set up in hotel rooms rather than established studios where leaks are known to occur.

The Game Fights for His Right to Sag His Pants

Rapper The Game is speaking out against a New Jersey ban that prohibits sagging pants on the world famous boardwalk. The law bans the wearing of pants that sag 3 inches below the hips, exposing skin or underwear.

But Game, whose real name is Jayceon Terrell Taylor, is outraged by the anti-sagging law which he compares to slavery.

Like most rappers, The Game is blissfully ignorant to the fact that most decent citizens do not want to see the color and brand of underwear he has on.

Pop singer Ciara hopes her upcoming album will return her to her former glory as an A-list entertainer. In preparation for her album’s release, Ciara shot a fashion layout for the cover of Fader magazine’s June/July summer issue, on newsstands June 25th.

In addition to releasing new music, Ciara is relishing her dopamine relationship with producer and rapper, Future.

The 27-year-old Austin, Texas native recently flexed her muscles by blocking the release of Rihanna and Future’s duet single “Love Song”.

Ciara and Rihanna’s feud was reignited in May when Ciara asked Rihanna to explain why they have beef since Rihanna is “so vocal.”

In an interview with The Source, Future said, “We never shot a video, we never performed it. I don’t know whether it was because of that situation or if just the time hasn’t come up.”

Akon Ventures into NASCAR Racing

Musician Akon’s interest in cars has prompted him to form Akon Motor Sports during the 2013 NASCAR season. Akon has signed renowned race car driver Joe Henderson III to lead his Akon Motor Sports team, with Henderson competing in the NASCAR PRO SERIES EAST race at Langley Speedway in VA. On June 22nd.

“I got into motor sports because I’ve always had a love for cars,” said Akon in a press release. Cars were always something that gave me that excitement and that rush for life,” he added. “That was what really motivated me to get into motor sports.”

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez

Lovebirds Halle Berry, 46, and fiance Olivier Martinez posed on the red carpet at The Champs Elysees Film Festival 2013 in Paris, France today. In an interview with People magazine, Martines, 47, confirmed his first child with Berry will be a boy. “My son will remain an American, but I will remain French.”

“I remain a Frenchman in America, but I adapt to American culture,” Martinez added. “I feel good there — but I’m still a foreigner. My son will be an American.”
