One thousand years from now, archaeologists studying human history will conclude that rappers were among the dumbest of all modern day Homo sapiens.
A Virginia rapper was arrested and charged with double murder after cops heard him bragging about said murders in a rap song. Antwain “Twain Gotti” Steward is accused of shooting Christopher Horton, 16, and Brian Dean, 20, at their home in Newport in 2007.
Cops originally believed the cold case was gang related — that is, until Antwain’s Facebook followers gave cops the break that they were looking for.
From NY Daily News:
The song, posted on his MySpace page in 2009, included the lyrics: “Everybody saw when I f—in choked him, but nobody saw when I f—in smoked him.”
Steward was charged with two counts of felony murder, one count of unlawfully discharging a firearm and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, reports Gawker.
But as he was a teenager at the time of the alleged shooting, he will be tried as a juvenile, News 10 reports.
Steward took to Twitter to deny the claims.
He wrote: “S/o [shoutout] to everybody that’s supporting thru this BS. Innocent is a fact!!!! Y’all know with love comes hate!!”
