Atlanta rapper arrested for flipping cars

Rapper Lil Hot may not be a household name, but his rap sheet is well known to Atlanta police. The local rapper, whose real name is Andrae Wilson, was busted on Monday for flipping stolen cars.

Wilson, 31, was charged with theft by receiving, identity fraud, driving on a suspended license and possession of a vehicle with an altered VIN, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

From AJC.com:

Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said Wilson, 31, was arrested Monday at a house on Stone Road in southwest Atlanta.

The rapper was in possession of a Ford F-150 with an altered VIN, a Chevrolet Avalanche with an altered VIN, a Dodge Charger reported stolen from the city of Atlanta and a Bentley that was carjacked in College Park last year, according to Jones. Wilson also had the keys to both the Ford and the Bentley.

Police are now working to determine if Wilson is responsible for other cases of vehicle alteration and flipping in the area.
