Gossip tabloid TMZ has released the full video showing Beyonce‘s little sister, Solange Knowles, violently punching and kicking Bey’s husband Jay Z in an elevator last week. The incident took place at a Met Gala after party at the Boom Boom Room in NYC.
In the extended video, which lasts 3 minutes and 33 seconds, Beyonce, Jay Z, Solange and Beyonce’s bodyguard, Julius, enter the elevator. Before the doors can close all the way, Solange steps to Jay Z and begins punching and kicking him violently before she is restrained by Julius. There is no audio, but Jay Z is seen trying to plead his case as Solange throws her clutch purse at him. If Solange had a gun on her Jay Z might be dead right now.
Meanwhile, Beyonce, who looked like she may have been dranking, stood by meekly as fists and profanity flew around her.
It’s interesting to note how docile and submissive Beyonce is when Jay Z gives her a tongue lashing just as the elevator doors open. Seeing this, Solange sets upon her brother-in-law again, and she is again restrained by Julius. Then they all exit the elevator as if nothing happened.
The elevator scenes lead many to believe this sort of violence is an every day occurrence in the Beyonce/Jay Z household. Solange is a frequent visitor to Beyonce’s home in NY. It’s possible that Jay Z might be a victim of domestic abuse.
