Actress Tatum O'Neal says she is dating women exclusively now. She apparently gave up on men after decades of failed relationships and one failed marriage.
"I like women," the 51-year-old former child star told People magazine. "I definitely have been dating mostly women recently." And to clear up any confusion about her newly chosen lifestyle, Tatum said, "I'm not one or the other," meaning she's no longer into men, so men need not apply.
"I think women are the most amazing creatures on earth," says the divorced mother-of-three. "They're gentle, and also more intelligent than the men that I've met recently. I don't have a steady right now, but I look forward to it."
That low growling noise you hear are gay groups howling in protest at yet another famous homosexual crushing the myth that homosexuality is not a chosen lifestyle.
The gays make up make up 4% of the U.S. population, and of that figure, roughly half are bisexual.
O'Neal became an overnight sensation when, at age 9, she became the youngest actor ever to win an Academy Award for her role in Paper Moon, alongside her famous father, actor Ryan O'Neal. O'Neal reportedly resented his daughter for stealing his shine.
Tatum married volatile tennis superstar John McEnroe in 1986. The rocky marriage produced three children. They split in 1992 and divorced in 1994.
