Thousands of rap fans signed a petition calling for rapper Fetty Wap to perform his hit single "Trap Queen" at Nancy Reagan's funeral on Friday.
The 94-year-old actress and former First Lady died of congestive heart failure on Sunday.
Within hours of Mrs. Reagan's death, a petition was circulated online for the one-eyed rapper to perform his hit song at her funeral.
Many criticize Mrs. Reagan for her “Just Say No” anti-drug campaign in support of her late husband, Ronald Reagan's war on drugs. 1.5 million black men were imprisoned as a result of Reagan's disproportionate anti-drug laws.
The petition calls Mrs. Reagan “the most famous Trap Queen in American history.”
NY Daily News -- The petition goes on to call the Reagan matriarch “diabolical,” referencing conspiracy theories that her husband allowed CIA involvement in cocaine trafficking as she was fighting for stricter drug possession laws.
To commemorate her contribution to the Trap, we'd love to have Fetty Wap perform "Trap Queen" at Nancy's funeral. To usher her to a better place...where she's probably cooking pies with her baby,” the petition said.
