Cardi B responded to a YouTube video blogger’s counterclaims that she encouraged gang members to kill her in a statement calling the allegations “frivolous” and “without merit”.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper sued Latasha Kebe, aka Tasha K, and Starmarie Ebony Jones for defamation in March, after the two women made allegations about the rapper’s sex life and drug use in an online video.

Latasha then responded by filing her own counter lawsuit against Cardi, real name Belcalis Almanzar, in federal court. Latasha has now amended that lawsuit to include her claims that the superstar rapper caused harm to her unborn child.

According to TMZ, the new allegations include threats Latasha claims she received from both Cardi and her former roommate and close friend Skeemo.

Latasha has accused Cardi of encouraging members of the violent Bloods street gang to “handle” her – which she took as a violent threat against her life and the life of her unborn child.

At the time, Latasha, 37, was in the first trimester of a “high-risk pregnancy”, and was put on mandatory bedrest by her doctor. The mom-of-one also accused Cardi of referring to her as a “h*e” and a “dumb a*s b**ch” on Instagram.

Latasha claims she called the FBI after receiving alleged violent threats from Skeemo, but the feds advised her to move if she feared for her life. Latasha fled her home, and she amended her $3 million lawsuit to include moving expenses which she asked a judge to force Cardi to pay.

Following Latasha’s lawsuit amendment, Cardi’s team released a statement denying the new allegations, which read: “Tasha K’s counterclaims are completely frivolous and have no merit. Tasha K clearly seems to think that this lawsuit and the courts are her social media channel where she thinks that she can say anything she wants, without regard for the truth, harassing Cardi and her friends to try to gain reader to her blog at the expense of Cardi.

“…Tasha’s own words in interviews and documents show that her claims are completely false,” the statement continued. “Cardi fully expects that Tasha K’s claims will be dismissed, and that at the end of this case, Cardi will be victorious and Tasha K will be held accountable for the blatantly false things she has said, written and posted about Cardi, that Tasha K knew were false.”
