Gossip blog TMZ.com reports that troubled singer Chris Brown was asked to leave a rehab facility after he flew into a violent rage during an anger management class. Brown is due back in an LA courtroom today for a hearing to update the judge on the progress of his probation stemming from his assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. The judge will review the latest criminal charge against Brown for assaulting a fan in WAshington, D.C. The judge will determine if Brown;'s probation will be revoked and if Brown will serve his 4-year prison sentence behind bars.

Welp, that didn't take long. Troubled singer Chris Brown checked himself out of rehab earlier today, TMZ.com reports.

Brown, who was arrested in D.C. for assaulting a fan nearly 3 weeks ago, entered rehab for anger management issues. At the time, Brown said he was willing to spend 3 months in rehab. But Brown lasted only 16 days.

Coincidentally, Brown launched his new backpack collection today as well.

Troubled singer Chris Brown will probably spend the next 3 months in a Malibu, Calif. rehab facility learning to manage his anger issues that stem from his childhood growing up with an abusive father and an emotionally stunted mother.

There has been no firm decision on the expected length of Brown's rehab stay, but an insider close to the 24-year-old singer's camp tells gossip blog TMZ that Brown himself is open to staying in rehab as long as 3 months.

Chris Brown leaves Washington D.C. Courthouse

Troubled singer Chris Brown checked himself into a drug rehab facility in hopes of convincing a California judge that he should not be held responsible for his criminal actions.

The LA Times reports that Brown, 24, checked into rehab a day after his charge for feloniously assaulting a man was reduced to a misdemeanor assault.

"Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility," a representative for the singer said in a statement Tuesday. "His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point."

Rehab probably won't do Brown any good. Brown's antisocial problems stems from his lack of parental love and guidance as a boy, which caused him to mistrust adults and withdraw from society at large.

Chris BRown charged with assault

Troubled singer Chris Brown is cooling his heels in a Washington, D.C. jail this morning, after he was charged with felony assault. Brown, 24, was arrested after assaulting a man at 4:30 a.m. EST Sunday outside a D.C. hotel, according to a report on gossip blog TMZ.com.

Brown reportedly argued with the man before punching him in the face. The man is being treated for his injuries at a local hospital.

One of the iconic photographs to emerge from the carnage of the Boston Marathon bombings on Monday shows a man with horrific leg injuries sitting in a wheelchair. Both his legs were blown off below the knees. The victim is in shock, his face drained of blood. A civilian wearing a cowboy hat runs alongside the wheelchair, holding onto one end of a tourniquet that is tied around the victim's left leg to staunch the bleeding from his severed femoral artery. That tourniquet is the only thing preventing the victim from bleeding to death.

Almost immediately after the explosions rocked Boston and the world, we knew both of their names thanks to the speed of social media.

Gucci Mane Denied Bond

Troubled rap artist Gucci Mane was granted a $75,000 bond by a Fulton County judge after spending 2 weeks in jail for assaulting a military veteran, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The rapper, real name Radric Davis, 33, was arrested late last month and charged with aggravated assault. The unidentified soldier told authorities that Davis hit him over the head with a champagne bottle at an Atlanta nightclub after he requested a photo with the rap star. Davis is still being held in the Fulton County jail on unrelated DeKalb County charges.

Rutgers Fires Tim Pernetti

Rutgers has fired embattled athletic director Tim Pernetti (left), who staunchly defended men's basketball coach Mike Rice after the coach was accused of assaulting his players. Rice was terminated as head coach of the Rutgers men's basketball team earlier this week, after ESPN's "Outside The Lines" aired a video showing him brutally punching and kicking his players.

The video footage was brought to the attention of university officials by former Rutgers director of player development Eric Murdock (right). Murdock's contract was not renewed shortly after he came forward with the controversial video.

Now Murdock himself is under investigation -- by the FBI.

Gucci Mane Denied Bond

Rapper Gucci Mane turned himself in to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday night, after he learned there was a warrant out for his arrest.

Gucci, whose real name is Radric Davis, 33, is accused of hitting a soldier over the head with a champagne bottle during a scuffle at Atlanta's Harlem Nightclub on March 16.

Davis was charged with aggravated assault and ordered held without bond by a Fulton County magistrate Wednesday morning. his next court date is April 10.
