Ne-Yo and Crystal are already parents to sons Roman Smith, 2, and Shaffer Smith, 4.

The 41-year-old singer/songwriter, real name Shaffer Chimere Smith, shares 2 children -- daughter Madilyn Grace Smith, 10, and 9-year-old son, Mason Evan Smith, with ex-girlfriend Monyetta Shaw.

The news emerges months after the singer admitted his marriage to Crystal was saved by the coronavirus shutdown, because it forced them to confront their issues head-on.

"The whole quarantine thing was kind of a blessing. It allowed me the time to lock back in with (my family)," he said.

"Before the quarantine happened, we were definitely talking divorce, and the quarantine forced us to sit still, block out the noise from the world - you know the world can get very, very loud, and we tend to let the world's opinion mean more in certain situations than it should."

The couple had reached a point where Ne-Yo and Crystal found themselves unable to open up to one another in order to work through their problems.

He added: "I don't know when it happened, but we got to a place where we felt like we couldn't just say it, you know? You're feeling something - something's going on, and you know something's going on, but for whatever reason, you can't just come out and say it. We got to that place, and that almost broke us... We're actually stronger now than we were before. Now we feel like we can really talk to each other."

Ne-Yo proposed to his wife again on New Year's Eve. The couple originally tied the knot in 2016.

Restaurants are shuttered in California and other blue states amid the Covid-19 outbreak, but business is booming in Atlanta.

Business is so good in Atlanta that music mogul Ne-Yo and his wife Crystal Renay Smith are opening a restaurant in College Park. The couple is partnering with reality TV personality Karlie Redd in the business venture.

The restaurant, named Johnny's Chicken & Waffles, is set to open in January 2021, according to the eatery's website.

"The 85-seat indoor dining space will provide full-menu service and will feature booths, tables, high tops and bar seating. A take-out counter will serve pies baked fresh daily and a selection of café goods."

Ne-Yo and his business partners are currently hiring managers, waiters and busboys.

The interior decor will feature platinum record plaques from Outkast, Ne-Yo, Ludacris and Usher, as well as a mural of the legendary Apollo Theater Harlem, NY.

Karlie said in a statement:

"Ne-Yo and I aim to make everyone feel at home at Johnny’s Chicken & Waffles, and you never know who you'll see dining alongside you! Anyone who appreciates music will love the ambiance we created in our dining room, with awards and plaques from Ne-Yo, myself and some of our closest friends. Who doesn't love some amazing chicken and waffles, while listening to some amazing music! We hope to see you if you're in College Park."

Last week, singer/songwriter Ne-Yo hinted that his marriage to Crystal Renay Smith was irreparably broken.

In a social media post, Ne-Yo's wedding ring was removed, and Crystal scrubbed all photos of him from her Instagram timeline. As the news broke that the couple had split after 4 years, Crystal planted a small seed of doubt.

In a cryptic statement to Instagram blog Baller Alert, Crystal said:

"The accuracy is that he's an amazing father and our kids are blessed to have a father like him. I wound; take that back for anything in the world. Everything else is God's will."

The news renewed interest in a certain home video that is definitely NOT SAFE FOR WORK.

In a comment on RhymeswithSnitch.com, R in NYC wrote:

"Go to pornhub and type 3 cute redbone lesbians in he search bar and watch Crystal eat pu**y like she's starving. Both of these fools are downlow gay. Bearding for each other..."

Ne-Yo's wife, who goes by her married name of Crystal Smith, hinted at the split on social media. She removed all images of the singer from her Instagram profile, WENN.com reports.

Ne-Yo, who also shares two kids with his former fiancée, Monyetta Shaw, recently acknowledged the ups and downs of his marriage in a post to celebrate the New Year. In his post, Ne-Yo insisted he and Crystal were still "perfect for each other".

Alongside a snap of the smiling couple, he wrote:

"2019 had its bumps and bruises, yes sure. But it's not about the difficulty, it's about one's ability to realize when something is worth fighting for and one's willingness to push thru to the potential greatness of a situation. There's no such thing as perfect, a lesson we both had to learn and lock in. But perfect for each other is a real thing. And that's you and me."
