After intense political and financial pressure, the Minnesota Vikings has suspended child abuser Adrian Peterson indefinitely. The Vikings reactivated Peterson on Monday after he was arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse in Houston on Friday.
Minnesota Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman held a press conference today to announce the team's decision to reactivate child abuser Adrian Peterson. Spielman stressed that the team did not condone child abuse, and that Peterson -- who was arrested Friday for child abuse -- should be allowed due process under the law.
But he also said: "We feel strongly as an organization that this [was] disciplining a child."
The Minnesota Vikings have a PR nightmare on their hands. The team is considering trading their star running back Adrian Peterson to another team following his arrest on child abuse charges on Saturday.
Former Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson turned himself in to Houston authorities early Saturday morning. On Friday a grand jury indicted Peterson on charges of whipping his 4-year-old son with a tree branch. Peterson, 29, was booked into jail at 1 a.m. Saturday and released 30 minutes later on $15,000 bond. Houston police released this mugshot of an arrogant Peterson smiling as if he didn't have a care in the world.
Minnesota Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson was "deactivated" (read: suspended) after he was indicted for viciously beating his 4-year-son with a switch. Peterson's weak excuse was that he disciplined his son in the manner which he was raised.
The sad irony is Peterson’s secret Love child was beaten to death in October by his mother's boyfriend.
Joseph Patterson, 27, was arrested and charged in that case.

One of Adrian Peterson's baby mamas has taken to social media to deny everything TMZ claims she said about him.
Former Houston dancer Erica Syion exposed the promiscuous Minnesota Vikings star on her Facebook page after his 2-year-old son, Tyrese, was allegedly beaten to death by his mother's boyfriend last week.
In an interview with TMZ.com, Syion revealed that Peterson fathered her 4-year-old son -- in addition to spawning three other illegitimate children scattered across the country.
For the record, Peterson has publicly claimed only 2 children, a 6-year-old girl and his 2-year-old namesake.
On the day Adrian Peterson's 2-year-old secret son, Ty, succumbed to brain injuries suffered in a beating last week, it was revealed he has another secret baby -- a daughter -- with a waitress who served him at a popular Minneapolis steakhouse.
TMZ.com reports the woman revealed the existence of Peterson's 3-month-old infant on her Facebook page.
“Today has been a long day finding out my (daughter’s) brother passed away and knowing that she never even got to meet him,” she wrote.
Minnesota Vikings MVP running back Adrian Peterson played in Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers, after his 2-year-old son died of brain injuries suffered in a brutal beating last week in South Dakota.
The child was beaten to death by his mother's boyfriend, Joseph Patterson, who is being held on $750,000 bond.
Adrian Peterson tugged at heart strings by claiming he was only playing for his son -- the boy he never met.
Many questioned Peterson's heartless behavior after he notified his coaches of his plans to play in Sunday's game -- while his son was on life support.
"I was set on it," he said before his son died on Friday. "I just look at things and I don't ask people to understand my mindset and how I think."
