New Music: Sean Combs – Angels

Sean Combs was spotted out & about in Manhattan yesterday. Is it me or has Sean lost weight? It looks like his personal training fees (which are rumored to be close to $100K) are paying off.

Yesterday, Sean released the music video for “Angels” a new track off his upcoming album. The pop-tinged track features Sean singing, yes singing with a little help from T-Pain’s autotuner. Angels is obviously targeted for that crossover market. The track also features a verse by the Notorious BIG and vocals by Dawn Richards, formerly of Danity Kane. No comment on Diddy’s singing talent.

I too love Dawn voice! but this is only the first single so hopefully the 2nd single will feature more of dawn vocals and she is looking fierce btw

Did they cancel Making his band? I keep looking for it but can’t find it. I really liked that show.

Hip-hop superstar Jay-Z has vowed never to announce his rap retirement again after changing his mind about hanging up his microphone in 2003.

Rapper Jay-Z declared The Black Album would be his last when it was released six years ago-but he couldn’t stay away from the recording studio and returned to the charts in 2006.

Jay-Z has no plans to bring his music career to an end but when he does, he insists he will slip away from the industry quietly, without any fuss.

He says, “I learned from that last one (retirement announcement) that you should just let it happen. The day that you’re not making music you should just not make music. It doesn’t have to be an announced retirement. So I would never say that again. Ever.”

I do like the song however I wish we could’ve seen and heard more of the girls. Diddy always knows how to steal the spotlight.

Thanks Daisy. I’ll have to check for that. The last episode I saw the bands had to do a Janet Jackson song and two other songs from the 80’s and the black guy who was beefing with the heavy set black woman with the mohawk got the boot.

I like that they have to do old school songs.

The song is good. It would’ve been better had it been someone else singing (the girls are great of course), but it works. I like it because of it’s trance ambience inflections (reminds me of early Enigma in the 90s for some reason).

With that said, I am really over his choice in video models. But what can you expect when this moron’s mother sports blonde wigs…
