Attorney Phaedra Parks attends Angela Stanton's deposition

Embattled local attorney Phaedra Parks, far left, appeared at a deposition for local author Angela Stanton, right, in Gwinnett County in February of this year. Parks is suing Stanton for defamation after she was accused of committing federal crimes in Stanton’s tell-all book, Lies of a Real Housewife. Stanton alleged that Parks was the mastermind behind an auto theft ring that operated in Atlanta. Stanton served prison time for her role in the auto theft ring.

At the time, Stanton’s attorney accused Parks of refusing to appear at her own deposition to provide evidence that Stanton defamed her.

According to Radar Online, Parks finally agreed to be deposed and answer questions from Stanton’s attorney.

In her statement, Parks said:

“I have never been arrested for a crime or charged with any crime. I have never been questioned by any law enforcement agency about any possible involvement in a crime. I have never been involved in any criminal schemes with Defendant Stanton or anyone else. I have never committed any crime other than routine traffic violations.” Source

Legal sources say Ms. Parks’ statements may be used against her if she is ever named as a co-conspirator with her husband, reality TV star Apollo Nida, who is charged with bank fraud and ID theft.
