Darren Wilson

A CNN reporter drew a map to the home belonging to Mike Brown’s killer Darren Wilson, prompting a right wing blogger to ask “Is the media trying to get Ferguson police office Darren Wilson lynched?”

Thegatewaypundit contributor Kristinn Taylor wrote:

CNN broadcast a report Friday that showed the house, including the street number, of the Ferguson police officer who police say shot Mike Brown. The officer has been in hiding due to death threats since the shooting last Saturday. His name, Darren Wilson, was just released Friday morning.

Another news outlet apologized for broadcasting video of Wilson’s home while others have virtually drawn a map to Wilson’s house for those bent on vengeance.

Taylor named other media outlets that either drew maps to Wilson’s home or published photos of the house, including Yahoo News, USA Today, and The Washington Post. The writer implied that the national media wanted to make it easy for Ferguson protesters to locate the house so they could get footage of the home being burned to the ground.

After receiving backlash from right wing blogs and Wilson’s supporters CNN withdrew the video from its website.

Piaget Crenshaw, a Ferguson resident who witnessed the shooting and videotaped Wilson standing over Brown’s body, said the Ferguson police confiscated her cell phone and kept it for 3 days.

An autopsy shows Brown was shot six times, including twice in the head. Toxicology results show Brown had marijuana in his system.

Meanwhile, Missouri Governor Jay Nixon reportedly snubbed President Obama and called in the National Guard after 3 straight nights of unrest in Ferguson sparked by the release of surveillance video showing Brown stealing $40 worth of cigarillos from a convenience store before he was shot and killed by Wilson.
