According to published reports, recording executive Suge Knight was hospitalized after passing out in his jail cell. Knight’s attorney, Richard Schonfeld said the 49-year-old Death Row Records co-founder is under observation after complaining of chest pain and dizziness.
According to Uptown magazine, the cause of his fall could be due to extremely high blood pressure and possibly a blood clot in his lung. The magazine goes on to say Knight’s blood pressure medication and blood thinner is not available to him while he’s locked up for allegedly stealing a photographer’s camera. But that’s not true. By law all detainees have access to the best medicine and medical services at taxpayer expense. I used to work as a jail nurse, so I know this for a fact. All prisoners are interviewed upon arrival at the jail. If they are on any medications on the outside those medications are prescribed for them by the prison doctor. They rarely ever miss a dose.
From Uptown magazine:
Knight, and comedian Katt Williams were charged with robbery last week over an incident where a celebrity paparrazo accused the pair of stealing her camera on September 5 in Beverly Hills. Both Knight and Williams maintain that the photographer – who has been angrily confronted previously by celebrity subjects – had been filming Knight’s young son. She refused to stop filming and erase the video when asked by one of Williams’ friends. That’s when things escalated and TMZ has released a new video said to be filmed just before the camera was taken.
