Toy maker Hasbro, the maker of Play-Doh, has a PR nightmare on its hands. Moms who purchased Play-Doh’s Sweet Shoppe Cake Mountain Playset as Christmas gifts for their children are furious that the toy’s “icing extruder” looks too much like a veiny penis.
Furious moms are inundating Play-Doh’s Facebook page with pictures of the dildo-shaped icing extruder — and Play-Doh is deleting the pics as quickly as angry moms put them up.
As Uproxx.com first reported, irritated moms brought the offensive toy to Hasbro’s attention in November.
The naughty toy maker made some noises about pulling the offensive products from shelves. But it was too close to Christmas, and Play-Doh probably hoped the controversy would boost sales of the toy.
A few moms complained that Hasbro ruined Christmas for their innocent children. Play-Doh posted an offer on Facebook to replace the “extruder tool” with a less offensive device.
