Dontarius Turner Police arrested Dontarius Turner, the Memphis man wanted on charges of shooting and robbing an Atlanta woman he met on a dating website.

The Atlanta Journal reports Turner was apprehended just before 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9.

The unidentified victim told College Park police she met the man who called himself “Cash” on the dating website Badoo.com.

She said she agreed to meet “Cash” offline for a date at a Waffle House in College Park on Dec. 24, CBS46.com reports.

After leaving the Waffle House, the woman agreed to go with Cash to a hotel room nearby. But on the way to the hotel, Cash produced a gun and ordered the 34-year-old woman to pull over and give him her purse at 12:45 a.m.

Even though she did as she was instructed, the man shot the victim in the face before robbing her of her purse and cell phone and fleeing in her black 1999 Jeep Cherokee.

The bullet passed through the woman’s cheek. She was treated and released from a local hospital.

Turner is in the Shelby County jail awaiting extradition to Georgia.
