Remember when openly gay football player Michael Sam abruptly left the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian football league and returned to the U.S. without explanation?
According to sources, Sam found out his boyfriend, Vito Cammisano, was cheating on him again.
Sam and Cammisano broke up less than 6 months after becoming “engaged” in the Vatican City. The LGBT community rallied behind Sam and Cammisano despite the obvious signs that neither man was being faithful to the other.
Sam scrubbed his Twitter.com and Instagram.com pages of any sign that Cammisano ever existed in his life. Then he packed his bags and headed back to the Montreal Alouettes football team.
The NFL’s first openly gay player was cut by the St. Louis Rams and the Cowboys’ practice squad.
Sam is the latest high profile openly gay athlete to call it quits. WNBA players Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson split after Johnson announced her pregnancy on social media. Griner filed for an annulment the next day. The ladies were “married” for only 28 days.
Johnson is reportedly pregnant with twins.
