Former Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Sheree Whitfield, left, and R&B singer Fantasia Barrino, center, are being considered as replacements for outgoing cast member and the show’s co-creator NeNe Leakes.
Leakes, 47, tendered her resignation after 7 seasons when ongoing salary negotiations with Bravo Network fell through. Rumor has it that Leakes demanded $1.2 million per episode.
Whitfield was booted off the show after 4 seasons when she refused to accept her role as the aggressor on the scripted reality show.
Fantasia’s real life drama is a perfect fit for the reality show hijinks of RHOA.
Part-time cast member Porsha Williams will be promoted to full-time cast member. And rumor has it that occasional guest Marlo Hampton is also in negotiations to return to the show full-time.
“Porsha is getting her peach back,” an insider told Radar Online. “They see her much more as an asset now than in previous seasons.”
Bravo Network is desperate to replace Leakes since TV ratings are in decline over the past few years.

When Fantasia won American Idol, to the chagrin of my friends, I predicted she would never be a mega-star.

I feel you but I doubt it, bravo usually pays by the lump sum. My cousin interned with Carlos king and managed to get a lot of the scoop they get agree on the contract and get half once filming is done, and the other half once the season is finished, aired and reunions are shot. They also get a fee for doing the reunion and if you’re a OG like nene, teresa, ramona, etc you can manage to get fees for appearances. Child I was shocked to learn that bravo pays some of these people so much lol for a reality show ????
