TV chef Paula Deen is in hot water once again — this time for posting a photo of her son Bobby wearing brownface on her social media page.
Deen, 68, posted a photo of herself dressed as the late comedienne/actress Lucille Ball alongside her 45-year-old son, Bobby, who wore brownface makeup to portray Lucille’s husband, Ricky Ricardo (played by Desi Arnaz, Jr.) on TV’s popular sitcom I Love Lucy.
Deen captioned the photo: “Lucyyyyyyy! You got a lot of esplainin’ to do! #TransformationTuesday.”
She deleted the image and the tweet after the furious backlash erupted on Twitter.com.
The Food Network star was unceremoniously dumped by a slew of sponsors after she was exposed as an unrepentant racist 2 years ago.
Food Network was the first to cut ties with the celebrity chef in 2013 when a former employee accused her of regularly uttering racial slurs.
Lisa T. Jackson, a former manager of Deen’s popular Savannah, Georgia restaurants, sued Deen and her brother for sexual harassment.
Jackson, who is black, accused Deen of using the N-word in racist jokes and for creating a hostile work environment for black employees.
Deen later admitted using the N-word in court but she denied making racist jokes. She issued a tearful, mascara-stained apology video after nearly all of her sponsors ran for the hills.
