Bruce Jenner has inspired a new Halloween costume that is sure to be a big hit with the men folk this holiday season.
The 65-year-old former Olympian admitted his longtime fetish for feminine things in his cover story for Vanity Fair magazine.
Created by Anytime Costumes, the Caitlyn Jenner Adult unisex costume is an exact replica of the corset worn by Jenner on the now infamous cover of Vanity Fair magazine.
The costume comes complete with a padded corset, shorts, a wig, and a white sash that reads: “Call Me Caitlyn”.
The Caitlyn Jenner costumes are priced to sell quickly at just $63.74 (for a limited time only). Get yours while supplies last.
The Gaff panty to tuck your manly “bulge” is sold separately at Amazon.com for $22.
“You probably won’t break any Twitter records when you wear this outfit like Caitlyn did,” reads the description on the company’s website.
Naturally the costumes aren’t very popular with the LGBT crowd.
Gay activist Addison Vincent created a Change.org petition calling for the company to stop selling the costumes.
“To make a costume out of a marginalized identity reduces that person and community to a stereotype for privileged people to abuse,” he wrote.
He added:
“At a time when trans women and [gender non-conforming] folx, especially black trans women, are being murdered at such a high rate, and homelessness, unemployment, and inaccessibility to healthcare run rampant in our community, making fun of one or all of us is utterly insensitive and deplorable.”
No word yet from Vanity Fair magazine editors who got the ball rolling with that wholly inappropriate cover of an elderly man dressed in drag.
