President elect Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump just landed in Washington, D.C., in preparation to travel to the White House to meet with President BArack Obama and the first lady.
Very few people believed this day would happen. Trump was #17 of 17 potential candidates for the GOP nomination earlier this year. Even the Republicans laughed at the mere thought of Trump winning the GOP nomination — much less the White House.
The men will likely discuss Trump’s plan to gut Obama’s healthcare reform legislation, the so-called Obamacare bill.
Hopefully the 2 men (and their wives) will put aside their differences and work together toward a peaceful transition of power from Democrats to a Republican administration for the first time since 2009.
