Pastor O Jermaine Simmons Sr

A Tallahassee pastor humbled himself before his flock in his first sermon after he was caught sleeping with another man’s wife earlier this month.

“I’m asking for your forgiveness,” Pastor O. Jermaine Simmons said as the congregation applauded enthusiastically at Jacob’s Chapel.

Pastor Simmons became an Internet sensation after he was caught bedding another man’s wife, and forced to flee naked.

Simmons graciously agreed to accompany the woman to pick up her sick son at school. Upon returning to the woman’s apartment, the Pastor and the married woman had sexual intercourse.

The woman’s husband, Benjamin Stephens, came home early and caught the couple in his oldest daughter’s bed. “I’m going to kill him!” Stephens yelled and went to retrieve his handgun.

But before leaving the room, Stephens grabbed the pastor’s clothing and car keys to prevent him from escaping.

Pastor Simmons fled the apartment naked and hopped a fence where he hid until authorities arrived to disarm the enraged husband and talk him into returning the pastor’s items.

Simmons declined to press charges and Stephens was not arrested.

In video footage from Jacob’s Chapel last week, Simmons said, “The world doesn’t operate like we operate… and so you will be attacked for loving me.”

“When you love somebody, it’s tempting to jump out there,” he told his loyal flock, who punctuated his sermon with shouts of “AMEN!” and “Come on, Pastor!”

Simmons is married and has a son. Stephens and his wife were married seven years.
